   Extremely disappointed with my experience at Ruddington Vets. I brought my cat in for treatment, and the vet asked me to return a week later to check if the issue had resolved. At no point was I informed there would be a charge for this follow-up, which lasted less than 30 seconds and involved nothing more than a quick visual check. I was later sent an invoice for £57.50 — an amount I was never made aware of, never agreed to, and which I find completely disproportionate to the service (or lack thereof) provided. I have now received a letter threatening debt collection action, despite the fact that no clear price was communicated in advance. This kind of opaque pricing and aggressive follow-up is unacceptable and has left me feeling misled and exploited. I will not be returning and would advise others to be extremely cautious before agreeing to any treatment or appointments without explicit written confirmation of costs upfront.

   I recived invoice months later for wormer pills after when they messed up with dose for my cat. I recived the a phone call they precriped wrong dose, I said i already given the pill , please come back then later to collect a new pill. Assuming it is ok nothing happened . 2 months later recived invoice for extra medication. Dissgusting care .

   After along fight with cancer my French bulldog poppy's body just couldn't fit anymore and unfortunately she past away on the 9th of October and the staff where fantastic with the care before,during and after her final sleep and we can't thank them enough for this. We did have problems with certain vets here but the main vet and staff were fantastic.

   A friendly, kind, caring and knowledgeable team. When I arrive with my furchildren the receptionist and those at the reception always make me feel welcomed. The nurses and vets we've seen over the year at being at the practice have been kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. I know some of the reviews on here have complained about prices however to them I'd recommended asking each time if there pet is prescribed something is to ask if the medicine can be bough lt online/ over the counter before agreeing to a treatment plan. Nurses have generally been really good at giving me a heads up if I can get the meds elsewhere.

   Used to have no problems however recently seems to have gone downhill. One of the receptionists comes across very rude and aggressive when she speaks to you and doesn’t seem to know what she is doing. I turned up for an appointment and she was convinced I didn’t have one despite me having several emails and texts as proof, they eventually found it but I didn’t get an apology. I’ve had the same conversation 4 times now regarding changing my cat under my name and with being assured this had been done and I’m still being told he’s not been changed over. Vets are brilliant and never had issues with receptionists before but recent. We’ve now relocated to another vets as less hassle and issues.

   We took a 'stray' cat to find out whether it was microchipped. Vet advised it was definitely a 3 to 4 year old female. Later, upon finding the owner we discovered 'she' was a 2 year old neutered Male! Not the first unsatisfactory experience here. Does not instill confidence! I would not recommend this vets.

   Firstly I would like to say that the staff at this vets are all very caring and do a great job. I had been concerned about registering with a vet that was apart of a larger chain, but my initial experiences with the staff swayed me to take my pets here. My low review today is because of the extortionate bill I was given after taking my dog here with an ear infection. To see the vet and get some ear drops and cleaner came to the princely sum of £120. I literally couldn’t contain my shock and am disappointed that I didn’t look up the products I’d been given online before paying. £75 of this bill was for the ear cleaner and the drops. I googled both of these products when I got home and I could have purchased both of them online from places like Amazon for less than £30. I’m more than happy to pay a fair price for the care of my pets but sadly today I feel like I’ve been take advantage of and certainly will not be returning to this practice for this to happen to me again. If you are considering this vet ask them for a sample of their charges and compare it with other vets. I’ve now registered my 2 dogs with an independent vet who charges more reasonable fees. It’s a shame as the staff here are all wonderful but the company who owns the vets clearly thinks they have a license to charge extortionate fees
