“Undoubtly the best chinese takeaway i have every had we have worked our way through everything on the menu and its delicious and so fresh always piping hot even with a drive home..we just wouldnt go anywere else..staff are so friendly and good craic 10/10 every single time. “Had lunch here on 02/09/2025. Marvellous variety on the starters/lightbites menu - loads of unusual dishes, so we were spoiled for choice. Chose beef nachos and the crab claws in an Asian sauce with a cheese and onion bap. Everything was delicious, well presented and great portions. The sauce with the crab was so tasty, I used my teaspoon to eat it like a soup. Excellent altogether.”

“I'm envious of the lucky people of Bangor who get to enjoy this fantasy Chinese every night. The woman taking our order over the phone was pure good vibes; so friendly and helpful. The excellent service continued when we went to pick up. And that's just the service ... The food was mouthwatering, deliciously flavoursome and fresh with great quality ingredients. The Mongolian chicken and prawn toast were incredible, but everything was a 10/10. Very reasonably priced and great portions. I would definitely recommend this place and it would be worth a travel from Pluto for me.”

On another review site, they actually had an impressive 4.5-star rating. I was just in Ireland so it was refreshing to find numerous spots offering Irish dishes with fresh ingredients. The generously portioned stew cost only £5.95, while the vegetable chicken soup was £3.85. Additional charges apply for bread. They offer many other foods but there is Greek yogurt, salad, and bottled juice too. The staff was friendly and patient and allowing sit-in even 30 minutes before closing. The pricing for takeaway and sit-in varies. If you have a larger party, there is a table there and also green outdoor seating. This place is for casual eating. Overall, I had a positive experience . If you are craving for delicious soups and stews, this is the place to be.”

“We went as a group of four and each tried the tasting menu. Can highly recommend! My personal favourites were the Taiwanese fried chicken and the beef cubes. Teriyaki sauce is already delicious, and with the hint of truffle (just right), it was raised to the next level. The dessert wine was beautiful, with gorgeous notes of lychee and peach!”

“Have pretty much tried all the Chinese take-aways in Ards. They all do some things well and other things terribly. Most of all, I find the quality of the meat (especially chicken) from most to be rubbery and distinctly odd tasing. Not pleasant. Recently tried The Ruby on a few occasions and it is by far the most consistent chinese. Portion sizes are huge and the food is of a very high standard. The quality of the meat is much better than all the others and the chicken is proper chicken breast!!!! Looking forward to trying more of the menu, and just relieved that we have found somewhere that we can look forward to trying more of the menu. Oh, good value as well. A proper old school chinese that gets it right.”
