My miniature poodle has many health problems but hasn’t been put off visiting the vets- in fact she can’t wait to get into the reception and treatment rooms. On a practical level, the surgery is spotlessly clean with no smells. I have been using Hillman’s for almost 20 years with various pets and have only good things to say about the whole practice.”

“I joined this gym recently after having trained at Pure Gym and The Gym Group for over 2 years. I was interested in this gym after watching YouTube reviews on it and also reading Google Reviews as well. All I can say is that if you are serious about your training and you want to focus on your weightlifting/bodybuilding goals then this is the gym for you. The gym is across 2 floors. The Ground Floor has 6 large rooms: 1.) Cardio (treadmills, bikes etc) 2.) Dumbbells (massive variety of weight i.e. 150kg) 3.) Chest & Triceps 4.) Back 5.) Crossfit 6.) Shoulders & Legs On the First Floor there are two boxing rings, a variety of boxing bags and also additional cardio machines. They also have a posing room as well. The machines in this gym are fantastic with excellent machines such as the Panata machines. The staff are always friendly and have a smile on their face and are ready to welcome you in the mornings. I visit the gym in the early mornings (5am) so I have no issue with parking or traffic but I know that this might be an issue for some people. If you want to progress in your fitness journey then this is the place for you.”

“Our elderly cat was a patient of AK Duncan for 18 months after we adopted her. She suffered from both thyroid issues and kidney failiure which meant she required regular vet visits and blood tests. Hannah was our primary vet and although our cat was an angry and difficult patient at times, she was always treated with gentle care and patience. Hannah did everything she could to provide options and care to prolong her life, comfortably and informed us of all options. Sadly we had to say goodbye to her a few weeks ago and again, although incredibly painful, Hannah went above and beyond to make it as comfortable and as dignified as possible. It was clear that she was invested in our family and our situation which was a huge comfort.”

Bowie loves his visits to the vets as he gets loads of fuss from all the staff. The care he receives is second to none and this is very much prioritised over profit. When Bowie lost an eye 18 months ago, I was touched to learn that the costs for eye pressure tests were dramatically reduced so that these became an affordable standard part of an eye exam. Bowie now has his eye pressure checked during every appointment, and I'm sure this lowered cost has supported the eye care of many other dogs too. Bowie has also had two expert surgeries at Fivelands, which were very successful and life-changing for him (especially his BOAS surgery). We're so grateful to live so close to such a great surgery - we wouldn't go anywhere else (even if we move!)”

My daughter needed surgery on her eyes, after a failed surgery at a different hospital and being referred here, the service was next to none and really put into perspective the talent the surgeons and staff really have at BCH. After a worrying morning of going into the unknown. Dr Parulekar and Dr McDermott showed compassion from the minute they came to see us for the preop chat all the way through to discharge - everything was explained clearly and all answered were asked with no hesitation. The staff in the anaesthesia room were all brilliant calmed myself and my toddlers nerves. All nurses caring for her were brilliant. Especially Maria who went above and beyond - nothing was too much!! Im so so grateful and hoping for a speedy recovery☺️”
