“I had a lentil split pea dish, very tasty! Ordered first time. Will be ordering again! Most of all I didn't get no belly ache. I got a sensitive stomach”
“Orded £5 biryani and drinks. Food came fresh and drinks were cold. Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and also made sure I had everything I wanted . Food all fresh”
“Went there yesterday, the mix grill and masala chips where amazing. Took a little while for it to cook but was nice and fresh. There is parking aorund the back on the road, another proper Desi pub will be returning again.”
“Had a great takeaway from here. Duck pancakes were ace - duck was so nicely cooked! All lovely, thank you.”
“A truly authentic experience at one of Birmingham's most prestigious public houses. You'll always find your friendly locals who are always open to conversation.. and the drinks are cheap too!”
“Great pub this! Every Saturday they have a multi instrumentalist/singer who goes by the name of 10 Guitars (check him out on spotify/youtube, he's bloody brilliant!) who performs cover songs from a wide range of genres and decades whilst switching between different instruments and on Saturdays the same guy hosts a very entertaining karaoke night! Beer is great and doesnt break the bank either!!!”
“Just had the loveliest service by Hiten. He was so polite and friendly. Great smile and welcomed me as soon as I walked in which was the nicest thing first thing in the morning! Great coffee too as usual!”
“Aldi Bearwood has improved significantly since the extensive refurbishment and expansion. Usual Aldi deals and offers as you'd expect, but in a more spacious environment. However, the issue with drivers parking randomly in the car park hasn't been resolved in remodelling the car park. If you park in a bay that's in front of the area where cars park "out of bays" randomly, be prepared to do a tricky manoeuvre to get out.”
“Its nice different item good price free parking”
“I been to this place last week attending a birthday function and it had excellent service. The waiters were really friendly and care taking and also the chefs did an amazing job with their special dishes, highly recommended.”
“Easy to order online, food ready at specified pick up time and was really tasty! Large menu with lots of options to choose from!”
“The food is amazing, it’s not the poshest surroundings but don’t let that put you off, you can be safe to order anything on the menu, the Nepalese flavours are fantastic”
“Very friendly staff, nice and clean shop and very reasonable price must be visit again and again”
“Amazing food for a great price. If you are ever in the mood for some hot, tasty paratha then this is the place. Perfect for Indian food on a nice day.”
“Amazing food, amazing service!! Will definitely return if I’m in Birmingham - authentic Nigerian cuisine”
“Went on a Thursday evening to the Red cow. Thought the worst as there was 1 table occupied by diners. How wrong we were! We went for the ‘fat cow’ chilli chips, masala chips, lollipop chicken, chilli lollipops and 3 naans. We asked for the chips and naans to be upgraded on the fat cow as it only comes with plain but it was lost in translation so we got 3 plain naans and 2 chips additional to what we wanted. The fat cow grill itself was sensational. Lamb chops - great taste, perfect amount of charring. All the chicken was juicy and full of flavour. Fish pakora - nice light batter, lots of meaty fish. The chilli chips were unreal, so so good! Definitely recommend them with the chilli lollipops. Certainly no scrimping on the portions! The only slight criticism is the grill wasn’t sizzling when it came out but it was on a oven tray as it was so big! It says on the menu it serves 8-10, there was 5 of us and we were all stuffed. Would definitely go back, be great to go when it’s busy. One of the best mixed grills we’ve all had, up there with Champys, new hen and chickens etc. Update… we went back for our Xmas mixy, again quiet inside in the dining area but the mixy was first class. Had the £42 fat cow again. Was 6 of us, with 2 cobras to top it off we were all stuffed. The chilli chips and chilli lollipop are a must. Chips are battered and covered in chilli sauce…. Unbeatable! Football was on prime too! Thanks red cow for rounding off this year with a class mixy!”
“Top quality. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Tasty food. Prices are difficult to beat. You should try their grilled chicken!”
“Great food taste and well proportioned”
“2024 Update: Still the best fish and chips in the area, great portions, great food, great staff, great value. Cannot recommend highly enough! Solid reliable fish and chip shop. Good quality and very generous portions make for great value for money. They do orange chips on some of the quieter days midweek. Used to come here regularly when I lived locally and still make a point of popping in whenever I'm passing.”
“Been going here for years now! The peri peri fries are the best Iv ever had! The flavour is amazing and you can still taste it even when finished. Match that with their chilli sauce it’s the perfect combination. Pizzas are so thick and cheesy, with loads of toppings. My kids like it better than dominoes. 10/10 for me and my family”
“Have not tasted anything better in my life than the lemon and herb grilled chicken (we always buy Chicken full platter with spicy chips)! These guys are the absolute best! Pizza is yummy as well!”
“Best Staff, Best Biscuits and most important… polite shop owner”
“Samosas were really good and flavoursome, and fresh. Top stuff”
“Beautiful find, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff, above all delicious food, will be returning very soon. Thank you.”
“They do Punjabi dishes the best and I would suggest to stick to it and not venture into other North Indian dishes like Paneer or Gobi Manchurian. Their Amritsari kulcha is a must try. The Chole, Pickled Onion and the red chutney was out of this world Authentic Punjabi to the core. The Amritsar Kulcha is the best I ever had in my life with a dollop of butter and bread baked to perfection. I am not a fan of deep fried Bature but that was popular and I saw some tables ordering it. I had Tea to finish off which was too milky according to me and I didn’t try the lassi as I visited this place after having a meal in the temple near by and skipped it. The Amritsari kulcha taste is still lingering in my tongue. They had a very light stuffing in it. Must visit if you are in Birmingham and make sure you stick to authentic Punjabi cuisine in my opinion they do the best.”
“Great place for some real authentic Indian food. For the little price they charge the quality and quantity of the food can not be faulted at all. Just loved it. Great range of options to order from.”
