“Took my son today who is autistic and struggles massively with communication. After a disaster with a previous barber shop he refused to have his hair cut for a VERY long time. Frazer (I think the barber was called at GS) was absolutely fantastic with him and cut his hair from long almost shoulder length hair into a gorgeous short cut. He was brilliant with my son and massively helped reduce his anxiety. I think this has definitely helped my son move forward with feeling confident to now have his hair cut regularly. A happy son and a happy mom !! Thank you !!”

“Had a much needed visit yesterda (17.04.21) for highlights and cut & blowdry. So happy with the results. I have been going to Maxine's now for about 20years and, for somebody who used to put going to a hairdresser on a par with a visit to the dentist, I have always found Maxine and her staff very friendly, professional and welcoming, and the shop is always clean. Throughout these lockdowns Maxine would periodically message to check I was ok and keep us updated when she was able to reschedule appointments. Due to previous lockdowns coming into force just as my appointments came round I have had several appointments cancelled over the past few months. Maxine promised me she'd book me in as soon as she could when they were allowed to open, and she stuck to that promise. Walking in today I felt so welcomed by Maxine & Meaghan and that they were genuinely pleased to see me. The shop was clean and all precautions were in place - wearing of masks, sanitiser available - so felt safe visiting.”
