“Previously visited Cheals when based in Henley-in-Arden. This was our first time at their new location in Knowle and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is much more spacious now and the interior tastefully decorated. So, first impressions were great. Our waiter gave a warm welcome and expertly guided us through the menu and wine list. A very capable front of house team. My wife and I opted for the a la carte lunch menu and with each course our enthusiasm for the next grew. The hardest thing is deciding between all the tempting choices on offer, so if your budget stretches to it, I'd go for the tasting menu for a real treat. The highlight for us both was the dessert course. What a selection of moreish puddings skillfully prepared. Hats off to their patisserie chef. We chose Cheals for our second wedding anniversary and were delighted we did. We'll definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend it to others too.”

“We came here for an anniversary dinner and we had a lovely time, thank you! The food is superb and staff were brilliant. The veggie menu was great and my partner loved his pork main. If I could make one suggestion, the wine list seems to be mostly 'easy to drink' wines, it could do with some more advanced, adventurous options. Especially reds, I wish there was a proper smoky red to go with the beef and pork. It's a beautiful place, so jealous of the walled vegetable garden, ! Would come back for sure”

“Visited for the first time this week as my husband had bought vouchers for me for Christmas after me following Artico on Instagram for years and commenting on their colours; especially the blondes. I was pleased to see a busy, impeccably clean and well-kept salon. I was a little nervous but the entire process of my visit was talked through. The girls introduced themselves and we talked through my wants and needs. They gave suggestions too based on the condition of my hair and some regrowth after having a baby. Laurel coloured my hair and understood exactly what I was after. Conversation was easy and the atmosphere in the salon was professional but chilled. Everything seemed very well-run and in hand. I felt welcome, at ease and valued the entire appointment. I can't remember the name of the stylist that cut my hair (sorry! We talked about our dogs), but she wasted no time getting to work, was honest about how much hair needed to come off for the best result (I hadn't had my hair done since November) and left my hair looking and feeling brand new. I'm incredibly pleased with not only the outcome of my colour and cut, but the experience I had. I'll definitely be back. The loyalty card is a great incentive too. “What an amazing place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was absolutely lovely, well stacked with towels, toilet rolls, hand wash etc and a lovely complimentary basket with croissants, pain au chocolates, waffles and biscuits. The location is great. We had a seating area to the front and rear where we could sit and admire the horses, llamas and Shetlands whilst having a nice drink. Heather was very helpful when we needed her and even had a little visit from Betsy. Would definitely recommend to others and can’t wait to come back. Thank you”
