“I had the BEST time at Blushes this week. Everyone was incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming (staff and customers). I was regularly offered drinks and magazines so I enjoyed my tea and biscuit whilst I waited (I arrived very early but was still seen slightly early too). I was quite nervous for my trip because I was chopping just over 12” off for the Little Princess Trust but Zoe instantly put me at ease. She helped me choose my new style before we got started and was so encouraging whilst doing the scary bit of the big initial cut. I had a stunning wash whilst enjoying the massaging chair and a lovely head massage, followed by a lovely blow dry where Zoe completely transformed my look and made me feel SO confident. We spent 2 hours chatting and laughing so I didn’t want to leave. Everyone else in the salon was incredibly lovely and encouraging too and I can’t wait for my next trip!”

“This place is a hidden gem. With other barbers I have used over the years, you tend to have your favourite member of staff and you just have to hope for the best that they end up cutting your hair. With hair by Ali, they are all equally as talented as each other, so you don't mind who you get. I have always had a great cut & shave. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's a nice added bonus that they offer you a drink the second you walk in through the door. If you've not been before, give them a try. You won't be disappointed! This is how all barbers should be!”

“Debbie and Kirsty are amazing people, I am so glad they were part of my boy's life. They were so good with him, making him look tidy and handsome when I know he wasn't the easiest to work with. He always looked forward to his groom, tail wagging and couldn't wait to get in to see his stylists. Unfortunately we lost our beautiful boy last week. When Debbie and Kirsty found out they sent a lovely condolence card, and a memento bottle with some fur from his last groom. I doubt many groomers would go that extra mile, which shows that they really do care about their clients.”

As, I learnt from conversations with a couple of the clientele, while waiting, the proprietors have a long and rich heritage in cutting hair and have been established for over 50 years. Just their longevity is enough to provide ''peace of mind'. The shop itself is simply decorated in fairly unassuming surroundings, but don't let that mislead you. This is a proper barber shop and the staff are all friendly, approachable and extremely proficient in their work. A special mention and Thanks go to Tahir for his consummate professionalism and his expertise. He was meticulous in his approach and he relented until we were satisfied with my son's haircut. Both my son and I very happy and needless to say we will both return when he needs his next haircut.”

“Visited for the first time this week as my husband had bought vouchers for me for Christmas after me following Artico on Instagram for years and commenting on their colours; especially the blondes. I was pleased to see a busy, impeccably clean and well-kept salon. I was a little nervous but the entire process of my visit was talked through. The girls introduced themselves and we talked through my wants and needs. They gave suggestions too based on the condition of my hair and some regrowth after having a baby. Laurel coloured my hair and understood exactly what I was after. Conversation was easy and the atmosphere in the salon was professional but chilled. Everything seemed very well-run and in hand. I felt welcome, at ease and valued the entire appointment. I can't remember the name of the stylist that cut my hair (sorry! We talked about our dogs), but she wasted no time getting to work, was honest about how much hair needed to come off for the best result (I hadn't had my hair done since November) and left my hair looking and feeling brand new. I'm incredibly pleased with not only the outcome of my colour and cut, but the experience I had. I'll definitely be back. The loyalty card is a great incentive too. Thank you all and props for running such a brilliant salon.”

“I’m writing this review very late. I got a haircut back in January from here. Yvonne was so amazing, she put me at ease. I came to her with a several requests, it should have volume, eaves, bangs, look edgy etc etc etc. I wanted Korean curtain bangs. I had a certain cut in my mind, however, she did a better job than I could’ve imagined. My hair has grown now, but I still love my cut. I love the ease of its management. I’ll be going back there again and again for any future cuts or styling I want for sure.”
