“A wonderful place for a gongoozla. I am not good with heights nor with water, so you would think this is not the place for me, but it is incredible. There is a cafe at the top and a water point for the boaters. At the top there is a swing bridge to be operated before you can access the rise. CRT were on hand to open the bridge and then help a boater through. The water really shoots out under some pressure as the photo hopefully shows. It was a pretty dull wintry day, but the experience is excellent. A little further down is the Bingley 3 staircase locks which we will visit on our next time.”
“Went to see made in tennessee tonight, absolutely fabulous, Sang songs we know and some we didn't, but we're excellent all the same, Well done guys. Theatre could do with a bit of a revamp, just a little dated in areas.”
“Fantastic hotel with outstanding staff. Just a note if you visit during warmer weather there is no air con on the 1st floor, not a criticism just worth bearing in mind. The staff make this hotel perfect as they are so attentive and helpful.”
“Bella & Bear have been amazing with our dog. Alice is friendly, reliable, and great with dogs. She responded quickly to our enquiry and was very professional. A lovely service and our dog is always excited to see her. Definitely worth a look if you need a dog walker or pet services in the area, very happy to have found her.”

“Lovely place to go for a walk. You can walk to the canal and then cross to the other side of the canal to walk back to Hirst locks or Saltaire. Nice and quiet early on.”
“I thought there is a waterfall not far from where I live it's only 6 minutes by car to get to the area where the waterfall is, I have only been promising myself to go for four years and today I set out to go find it. The waterfall is not far from Harden village it's a good ramble to get there. It's called Gout Stock Waterfall and if you've never been then your really missing something special.”
“We have had the best 2 nights here, best log cabin we have been to. The hot tub was lovely and clean, the cabin was very clean, the views was amazing. We will definitely be going back.”
“Brilliant play area with a large selection of apparatus for the kids. Some new things have been installed since the last time I went, and the new swings are fantastic! There's a fabulous walk around the lake and in the woods, and if you're interested, there's also a golf course and archery!”
“A wooded area with winding footpaths up the hill. There is a stream and fountain. Very dog friendly. Different areas of play equipment, and seating areas. There was a trail around the park to follow snowmen pictures that lead to a Christmas tree”
“I bought some mozzarella, pizza sauce, pizza pepperoni and got a coffee to take out. All great quality ingredients we took away and the coffee was nice. Will be back to try some food in the restaurant!”
“Myrtle Park is a great place to bring dog. Down by the river is quiet and he loves to swim after the ball. There’s a playground and tea room at the top end. Fun place to bring kids.”
“External catering company used, but the food was amazing, as was the atmosphere and the staff team.”
“The conference lunch was delicious, and everything throughout our stay was excellent. We come here quite often, and this experience was good as always. Highly recommended! Silvia was extremely professional and made our visit exceptional. She helped check us in for our conference and hosted the entire event perfectly. We also saw her serving at the bar and look after reception — she truly does it all. After speaking with her, we learned she is a Supervisor, and it’s clear why. Very dedicated. We sure be back. Rudi was also very professional and those ladies looked after us regularly.”
“Nice local pub, friendly and reasonably priced”
“Called here on Wednesday 6 Aug 25. Very nice sandwich and coffee provided swiftly. It was busy as it's school hols but the staff were efficient and courteous. I sat outside on a picnic bench. Quick shout out to the lovely lady with golden curls sat nearby :)”
“Great pub, with an enthusiastic landlord really trying to make it a success. Situated next to the canal a great location. Good range of ale's. Dog friendly. Great food. I had the best burger fries and slaw ever. Presentation was excellent and the ratio of bun to burger was spot on. Would certainly revisit.”
“A traditional back street pub in the centre of Bingley serving a selection of hand pulled ales, draught lagers and cider plus wines and spirits not a cheap pub but good traditional pub atmosphere and good for a meeting of friends and family. It's also close to local shops takeaways and taxi ranks and buses so you don't have to worry on that score, pay it a visit if you like the old style pub,I'd recommend”
“We organised an academic workshop for 10 people with Marise, the brilliant hotel manager. The overseas people loved the old-fashioned hotel and the value for money was exceptional. Whilst they have no restaurant, they allowed us to bring in food and eat in their grand dining room whilst providing plates and cutlery. They also provided soft drinks, coffees and tea throughout. We hope to go again.”
“Located in the back of Bingley Garden Centre - beautiful fresh food and very friendly staff! The cafe is clean and bright in a conservatory. The staff are so helpful and talkative - really an asset to the garden centre and I can see why it was so busy! We will definitely be back, the quiche was to die for! Also - would definitely recommend the cakes.”
“havent been to this pub for almost 2 decades. I know it had been due to close but rescued and very glad it has. Its kept its atmosphere while being modern. Nice conservatory and plenty of green space for kids (and adults) to enjoy. I won't leave it so long next time to visit.”
“Great customer service. The lady who looked after us, and I am sorry that I did not get her name, was exceptional.”
“I stayed here for two nights while visiting family. My double room (number 9) was spacious and comfortable with beautiful views across the gardens and countryside (see photo from window). It was also wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was the traditional full cooked, or you could have porridge. As I was on holiday I had the cooked breakfast both mornings, and highly recommend it. Fruit and cereal were also available, though no yogurt. The hotel has Wi-Fi throughout, including the rooms. Evening meals are available in the restaurant on request most nights except Sundays. There is a small bar, although I never saw anyone in it. The location is just a few minutes from Bingley town centre, but very quiet. It is also just a few hundred yards from Five Rise Locks and the Liverpool Canal, which are picturesque and interesting. Service at the hotel is friendly and professional, without being intrusive. I felt very relaxed and comfortable staying here, and will definitely return in future.”
“A fantastic range of books for the young and the older generation. They also sell records and games fairly priced.”
“You know you've a good groomer when a stranger stops you on your holiday and tells you how well your dog has been cut!!”
“Had the hand cut chips here they were delicious, our server was Ellie she was so accommodating and had such a lovely positive attitude, so nice to see such a smiling face, if I could give 6 stars I would, outstanding service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“I had booked to stay at a different hotel and upon arrival found they had cancelled my room. I was in a bit of a panic because I’d travelled from Scotland for a two day course and needed somewhere close by. I googled hotels and discovered Homeleigh Hotel. I am so grateful to Kevin for accommodating me at such short notice. My room was perfectly clean and welcoming, en-suite with clean towels. The room also had a kettle with ingredients to make coffee, tea etc. There was also a hairdryer, television and perfectly working WiFi. I also appreciated the off road parking as I have mobility issues and lots of luggage! I would highly recommend Homeleigh Hotel to friends, family and anyone else who is looking for great accommodation at a decent price. I’d definitely stay again.”
“Just had the kitchen completed by these guys - very impressed with the end result. A few hiccups along the way but they went out of their way to sort them out and made sure that I was happy with the outcome (which I was). A special shout out for Ian who did the installation of the actual kitchen units - very impressed with the high standard of his work and attention to detail. If you want quality, above average service and a personal approach then Janus are the company to go for. I strongly recommend them.”
