“The Halifax Playhouse is a lovely theatre with lots of charm and heritage behind it. The staff are very welcoming and seats are very comfortable. It's also nice visiting a theatre that allows you to get so close to the actors on stage. It's an intimate venue that we can't wait to see more plays at in the future!”

“5 stars for the staff. We were standing at a concert when my daughter started to feel faint. We went to the lobby for air and the staff immediately came over to ask if they could help. They arranged some seats for us so she could still watch the band which was a very generous and caring act. Many thanks !”

“Full five stars from me if I would give more I definitely would, my little boy has started in the baby room he is 6 months and he absolutely loves it. He has settled in so well, he loves all the staff in the nursery as I was worried he wouldn’t bond with anyone as he only wants me at home, The nursery is clean and well looked after the food that is offered to him is from a range of different cultures and part of a healthy diet. All the staff are so kind and friendly and the management are amazing, they Always answer any questions that I have and listen to anything I have to say. I would definitely recommend this nursery. “I visited the Halifax store today to ask the team if they could fit some new wipers on my car. I was served by a really friendly lady and young man (think his name was Ozzy). It's such a rarity these days to receive such amazing customer service. Both team members are an asset to Halfords. Thank you.”

“Great drinks at a very reasonable price. Fab atmosphere, there was a live band on when we visited and no entry fe which was a nice change. Lots of seating and lovely decor. Can't wait to visit again”

“We attended the Halloween party at Airtime. Our boys had a fantastic time, the event was really well organised and helped create a safe and fun environment. We frequently visit airtime during the school holidays. It’s an ideal place for our boys to burn off some energy and have a fun time bouncing around. Great work by the staff at airtime as always.”

“From an individual cinema point of view, The Vue in Halifax is a cracking place with very friendly and helpful staff. As with most multiplexes each individual "room" varies in size/capacity but all have a great feel to them, nice comfy seats even in the "supersaver" area, good visibility no matter where you sit, and absolutely amazing sound all at some of the cheapest ticket prices you'll find. A very good cinema indeed. From a company point of view however, their website is pathetic. I've spent many days on many occasions over the years trying to book tickets for different films to either give up and just turn up on the day and take what's left, or simply just give up and stop in!! They know it's pathetic, but blatantly choose to ignore the problem.”

“Came to Halifax for the day from a week's holiday in Hebden Bridge. Came for late lunch/early dinner and was pretty empty. A few of our party went for the 2 courses for £18 which was good value. We had the mozzarella sticks which are always a crowd pleaser. The beef tacos were really tasty with great crunch from the pomegranate seeds - a lot more filling than expected. The chicken fajitas were also full of flavour. Good pints of Sam Adams. We had a gluten free member and the staff were extremely accommodating (bringing the manager over to take their order specifically felt slightly too much but we understand why). Overall a really great meal, despite no tequila and it feeling like there was an earthquake every 5 mins (assuming the cinema was the culprit!).”

“Always been a favourite of mine..food was a prepared buffet which was banging..service...haha..only received 2 of my 3 drinks ordered but this was quickly rectified...if you're visiting halifax add this place to your list of places to visit”

“Fantastic experience for children aged 5-15! Both our boys love coming here each school holiday to engage in a range of sports and active games, make new friends and generally keep themselves entertained. We have done camps at Easter, summer and October holidays and can honestly say the staff treat them brilliantly, keeping them occupied whatever the weather. Highly recommend!”

“Used Battinson for the first time recently after someone recommended them following issues with my usual garage. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, kept me informed and even gave the car a quick wash before returning it. I especially like the invoice being emailed as well as printed and like the keen eye for detail such as the new locking wheel nut bag, service record etc, small things but customers love it! Thanks guys and I'll certainly be using you in future!”

“Love the local volunteer run theatre and being a part of it for most of my life has been fantastic. From being in the shows on stage to helping build sets, run backstage or sell sweets front of house there’s something for everyone to do if wanted. Or just come along and enjoy the productions as a member of the public. That’s a very important job too! A wonderfully historic building that holds the community spirit of todmorden at its heart.”

“Great local pub, however I'm no longer local. Went across at the weekend and it's lost none of its charm. A few bar staff on so easily served. The music was good provided by Steve along with a quiz, which if you wasn't doing the quiz you wouldn't have noticed as it wasn't imposing. The regulars were as friendly as ever. All in all a great visit, highly recommend. It isn't the Ritz, just a really good local pub.”
