“Has had a lovely refresh since new ownership. A place with actual decent coffee and a children's play space is the ultimate dream for parents. Lots of space for pram parking . There is a step to enter but staff are helpful with getting you in. There is a changing table in the toilet (which is very clean) complete with emergency supplies! The children's lunchbox is also a great deal. Edit 15/8/25 I continually come back to Golden Linings due to the warm welcome from the staff, nothing is too much trouble whether you're there for 10 minutes or 2 hours. I will be sad to be not be here so often once I'm off Maternity Leave!”

“A treat straight after the gym, the menu has lots of superfood options and a great selection of hot and cold drinks. I had the spinach and mushroom omelette which was DELICIOUS! My hubby thoroughly enjoyed his bacon and poached eggs with a carrot cake to top it off! Highly recommend!”

“What a little belter of a cafe! Proper hidden gem. Fresh quality ingredients with a massive tea cake. Quality sausages. Clean outside table and chairs. She cant do enough for you. Dog water provided. Just a cracking cafe so definitely our go to place for lemon Fanta with ice and blue and red straws in Brighouse . Good value to at under a tenner for 2 meals and 2 drinks!”

“Always a great atmosphere here; generally (and unsurprisingly) busy, but we’ve never yet failed to find a table. Really good layout with plenty of space. Dogs are made very welcome (with their own little treats corner), but there is a dog-free area for those that prefer it. Food is great, served quickly and delivered with a smile. Staff are fab and super-friendly. From the menu, a special shout out must go to the eggs bennies - our regular favourite - but the avocado toast and the mushrooms are also delicious! Really good range of drinks - especially very good coffees, and you can easily walk (or cycle) off your meal by stepping out of the back door straight onto the canal path for a little wander. We are not cyclists but will continue to be regular walk in visitors nevertheless. This place is a big favourite.”

It was all delicious, freshly made and a bit different to what you normally see. You can tell that the team brings their enthusiasm and experience to provide great food and service. The GLUTEN FREE offerings were wonderful, so my Seabream was cooked to perfection!!! There's A Lot of GLUTEN FREE choice! All the teenagers had starters and pizza and there were no complaints!!! We were all very impressed with the whole evening! Thank you!!”

“What an incredible pub. Really really nice food and great service from the staff. A warm and welcome venue that offers full table service and is dog friendly. The food was stunning and very reasonably priced. The car park was a bit small and very busy , but given how good the pub is , no wonder it's busy. We will be back !”

“So I've been here a few times as someone who doesn't live in Brighouse. Brighouse is an underestimated town and nowhere typifies the great attitude of the local populous more than this pub. Friendly,. Welcoming and several rooms with set functions like sport and music. If you happen to know a pub that is cold and unwelcoming show them this place. THIS is how a pub should be run.”

“I came for the menu and wow it didn’t disappoint. We had breakfast and I can confirm the food was amazing, a bit random but it worked. I had the good karma which has two sausages, some avocado, a tomato, a garlic mushroom, some delicious garlic and rosemary mini roast potatoes cubes. black pudding, beans and bread. My friend went for the stateside but switched bacon for vegan sausage - she also loved hers. I will say it was a bit expensive and the drinks aren’t really worth the price. I had a cup of tea for £2.45 which I felt was quite steep, but I guess we are in a cost of living crisis - regardless of the cost I’d recommend going and would definitely go again myself. It’s also quite a small place and we got the last table luckily so I’m unsure if seating is an issue but there was lots of outside seats available; it was just a bit cold so we wanted to go inside.”

“Had a lovely time with the family! Our servers, Tamia and Aiysha were sooo accommodating and friendly! They made sure that the food was hot and fresh. The food was soo worth it. We got one of the El Jimenez and it was plenty for 7 of us (mixture of mostly adults and some kids).”

“As a relative newcomer to the area, I tried the Golden Hind cafe a few months ago and it was spot-on. Consequently, I now go on a fairly regular basis and I haven't been disappointed once. Top class Fish & Chips, nice puddings/sweets and the tea is good. Furthermore, the young servers are delightful, and they can't do enough for the customer. Been today on a dull day, but the day was brighter after the meal! Would recommend to anybody.”

Smaller sections for men and children clothing. Staff always friendly and helpful. They also have a loyalty card and postal promotions.”
