“Isabel did our flowers for our Wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better florist. She was amazing with the design and inspiration process and helping us to work out what we wanted. We then gave her free rein to do what she thought was best and the outcome was beautiful! From our Wedding party flowers to the flowers for the decor everything was perfect the flowers were gorgeous and smelt divine! Thank you Isabel for everything you are an amazing person and an amazing florist we can't thank you enough!”

“For me this is the definition of a hidden gem, a nice, quiet, unassuming cafe with a very homely feeling. Every time we visit, it feels like we're back in Japan. Everything is homemade, tasty but also healthy. We always have something savoury and sweet because we don't want to miss out and the matcha late is also great.”

“This place is just the cutie. Visited yesterday for some late lunch staff lovely, and our pizzas were super yummi. We will definitely go back nearer the summer time. Dress up warm if you go soon the waiting time isn't long and the pizza warms you up. No customer toliet so make sure you go before.”

“Update: We were given the wrong pizza by accident last night and I wasn't able to contact the pizza van because it was closed. I left a review here and the management got back to me v quickly to apologise and explain. Accidents happen, but this was really great customer service. Side note - the pizzas really are the best in Brighton here!”

“I'm located in the US, and I needed a florist to deliver flowers in the Brighton area. Viva Verde was not only a great solution because they make it very easy to order online, but also because they have a PayPal option which makes making international orders very easy. Furthermore, I made a mistake in the order process on my end and brought it up with them, and they were very responsive and showed great customer service. They even made sure to confirm important delivery details I hadn't thought of or asked about at the time of placing the order! Lynette, the owner, is very personable. The flowers were delivered without a problem, and arrived beautiful. For local Brighton residents, I can't imagine a better florist. Viva Verde has great customer service and they are very good at what they do. Would definitely use their services again. UPDATE: I have now used Viva Verde for delivery a second time, and Lynette once again went out of her way to provide both amazing customer service as well as a beautiful bouquet. “Janet's Flowers were so accommodating when I could not attend my dear friend's funeral because of Covid and I had to arrange to have flowers sent at the last minute! The floral candle tribute was absolutely gorgeous, I asked Carrie at Janet's Flowers, to add some lavender and left it up to Carrie to choose the flowers as long as there were some pink colours.. As you can see from the photo, the arrangement was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely recommend this florist - the customer service has been excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. :)”

“Helen was a delight to work with for our wedding flowers. The flowers on our day were gorgeous pastel arrangements in a wild gardenesque style. She was able take our ideas and develop them with her expertise to create a stunning flower arch plus milk churn arrangements, table flowers, bouquets and button holes. The arrangements were beautifully unique but all complemented each other. The whole process was smooth, Helen always promptly replied to emails, created detailed quotes and made adjustments to our order right up until the month before our day. Since ordering our wedding flowers we have ordered several floral bouquets from Helen for various birthdays and Mothers Days. Each and every order has been a beautiful selected and arranged bouquet. Sarah and her Mum also attended Helen's Christmas wreath workshop which was a brilliant class and very well run. “We walked into the Riverside, a place with lots of shops and eating places init and we chanced upon Bubble and Bao. We went for the pork buns, chicken tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki Bao bun and what looked like Salmon sushi roll. Oooommmmgggg. So good, pork broth was tasty but could have done with a bit more depth but after seasoning up with some chilli crunch and Soy sauce and ginger it was delicious and with the kombu it was really an interesting flavour. The rest was just amazing. Sushi is prepared after you order it and I'm pretty sure the pork buns were made out of delicious Clouds. I'm so going to try and get back there for the grilled Eel and anything else I can next week.”

“Came across this place when I first been to Brighton and ever since have been my go-to for Japanese food in Brighton. The katsu is served authentically, crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside. Their ramen was delicious as well, but nothing very notable. Their bento boxes is an experience. Especially the unagi bento. I have tried several of their sashimi and sushi, all were delicious and most importantly fresh! They’re quite generous with their portions. They have seasonal menus which are delicious every time. Their lunch set is such a great deal, £12 for a very fulfilling meal. It’s a small point but I love that they have proper tea here and it’s delicious. In the pictures are the tonkotsu ramen, hama shioyaki, salmon platter, strawberry matcha dorayaki, and pork katsu. Apart from the food, the atmosphere is really relaxing with the warm wood furniture, low light, and soft Ghibli music. The service is excellent. At this point, I have and will be coming back again.”

The rich, savoury black garlic oil blended perfectly with the hearty broth and created a homely bowl topped only by Japan itself. Overall 5 stars, would come again.”

“At the beginning of October 2025, I attended a wedding photography convention and masterclass in Brighton called Thrive, organised by Photography Farm. Ahead of the convention, Robert and I decided to spend a few days exploring the city, and that’s when we came across Pho Brighton. What a wonderful discovery!!! The food was absolutely excellent, rich in flavour, fresh, and deeply satisfying. The atmosphere felt joyful, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. “Although we didn’t have sushi, this place is a gem and a delight, it was recommended by a friend at work and I can say it’s highly recommended by me. I had udon noodles and pork with prawn rolls. Service was five star with friendly and knowledgeable staff it’s a warm and inviting atmosphere and just on the right side of cozy. I drove all the way from Croydon although I was generally in the area but would drive back there for more of the delicious udon noodles and to try some of the super looking sushi. Book up if you can the service was quick and with a smile always makes things better.”

“Really Happy Me/aki. This wholesome place is one of the reason I come back to Brighton every year in May (The Great Escape Festival being the main reason;). Their sushi burritos are delicious (my current fav is the Sweet Chili Chick £7.80). The concept of the restaurant (non-profit) and costs transparency are great too. It probably would be my favourite take-away on earth if they ingredients were local, seasonal and organic products (but I’m well aware that’s currently pretty hard to set up).”
