“Everything you could ask for, generous portions, good food, good prices and a great vibe”
“Popped in for a takeaway lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the choice on the menu. A little on the pricey side but all freshly prepared and very high quality. I had a filled focaccia which was delicious and actually could have been shared between two so did my lunch for 2 days. Also tried the blueberry torta which was crumbly and light! Definitely going to be returning & will take some pics next time and eat in. The decor was contemporary with rustic touches, plenty of seating and an outdoor area but didn't see it to comment in. Absolutely worth a visit!”
“Needed a cake last minute, googled places doing cream cake because cream cake is the best and found Fang’s bakery. Popped in and the staff were awesome and managed to set me up with a cake within 5 minutes. I was incredibly relieved and very thankful! The cake looks absolutely stunning! Thank you to the team, I know this last minute cake was likely a one off and I got very lucky, so thank you for being so accommodating”
“This is a lovely bakery and we enjoyed afternoon tea. Service cannot be faulted. The Danish pastries are authentic, and I can say that with some authority as my family are Danish and my grandfather was a Baker in Denmark. Loved the hints of Denmark, the bike, the coffee can, and the teak furniture. My only thought to make a more hygge vibe, would be to add some tealights to each table. We had a vegetarian afternoon tea, it was very generous and we went home with a doggy bag. The open sandwiches served on rye bread were really tasty, would just have loved a bit of Danish blue. The cakes and pastries were lovely, would have liked Kanel stang, though the spandauer were really tasty. If you want an authentic Danish bakery, this is the place to go. Recently went to Scandinavian Kitchen in London and was disappointed, so don't go there, go to Brod, a ittle bit if Denmark in Wales.”
“Fantastic shop with a huge selection of produce. I come for the great Turkish delight (lokum) selection, also love all the different types of nuts. So many interesting ingredients available and at a very reasonable price. The baklava also looks great but haven't tried it yet.”
“Good selection of goods at great prices”
“Lovely staff are always happy to help me get things in the shop”
“Very clean compared to other shops. Happy to shop from here”
“It's a beautiful clean shop. I am disabled I needed a trolley for standing and walking around the store, as I cannot walk on crutches and carry a basket. I took a "huge trolly" that's all that's there. Had about 14- bags items. I got to cashier. I put it all on belt, my back was in agony dipping in the "huge" trolly. The lady was lovely, she packed all my goods. Put it in the trolly. I left. Omydays the pavement is a slope the trolly took off into the gutter. With me hanging on. I pushed it across the road to put shopping in car,, wheeled trolly back.no ramp. I had to lift and pull it up the curb.Put it inside the store where it belonged. To collect my £1- then doors shut I couldn't walk out. I was told to walk around the store to exit!!! This is the entrance door!. I said,I cannot walk that distance without extra aid, "hence a trolly". It wasn't worth the pain for £1- So as I'm talking, someone came in. Then I jumped out. I couldn't go back there again on my own ever. If anyone says well you should should have left the trolly in the road? The situation isn't wide enough I'd have had to leave it behind someone's car. I certainly wouldn't want that. Wind may blow it and dent somones car. So no it had to go back!!!!! Don't know about me though, shame beautiful store well priced too.”
“Lovely little vegan restaurant. Quite close to roath park which was very nice to explore and the area seemed quite nice too with lots of other little shops and cafes. I had the quiche which was quite nice! A little salty for my personal taste but quite flavourful. It had a really nice crisp pastry. Would definitely visit again when next in Cardiff to try some of their other dishes. My friend had the Thai curry which was quite nice too. She also had the Pina colada smoothie which she said was very nice. It was fairly busy but we were able to get a table for two without booking in advance at around 12:40 on a Sunday. We did find it a little difficult to have a conversation when the blender was running, but otherwise the atmosphere was lovelt. Can't wait to visit again when next in the area!”
“It’s lovely to visit Kate and Mic in their cosy new premises. They’ve been grooming our dogs for 7 or 8 years. They were amazing with Bailey right up until she left us at almost 14. She was quite a timid little dog but Kate and Michaela were able to make her feel safe and comfortable so that she would go into be groomed quite cheerfully. Now we have Betsi and they’ve been grooming her since her first puppy groom and getting her used to the dryer and clippers. They are so kind and gentle, real dog lovers and very good dog groomers too!”
“I have definitely reviewed this before but very happy to do so again - this is a fabulous local business that serves a breakfast and lunch menu of freshly made and home-cooked food. Lovely atmosphere and the owner and staff are wonderful. Tea and coffee and are decent and the homemade cakes and treats are outstanding. Support a local business, firstly because they deserve it and secondly because the chain shops and cafes will be fine anyway.”
“Charming cafe with warm welcoming staff and delicious food, especially the afternoon tea. - Fantastic food with some vegetarian and vegan options. - warm and welcoming staff. - The afternoon tea is amazing with delicious scones, pastries, sandwiches, and free tea refills. A lot of afternoon teas feel overpriced but this one felt more than worth the £20 it cost. - Nice looking interior decor.”
“Very friendly staff, food was hot and tasty, cooked well, not greasy at all, well done and thank you. Daughter liked your cakes too...”
“This is a nice shop, well stocked for its size. Kind, sociable staff - they also sell shop-made sandwiches, rolls and pastries etc... these are fairly priced. Very close proximity to barry dock train station, therefore ideal if you're taking a train and have a few minutes spare before your departure. I don't think hot food is available on Sundays.”
“Staff was friendly. Lemon Rosemary iced tea -refreshing! Chocolate Avacado Vegan cake- YUM! Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa -amazing!”

“Small but wonderfully stocked shop selling all manner of food and drinks imported from Greece. The kind lady working there was very helpful. I'm looking forward to trying the wine next time I visit!”
“This place is so cute! Like a mini castle. The scones.. marvellous! The tea, well I didn't actually have tea but I bet it's the real deal. I had coffee and some scones (I know.. I know) I'll be back though. It's a small tea room with extra seating upstairs, all very relaxing. Definitely worth a visit.”
“Great prices and pleasant staff.”
“My favourite place to eat! Deliciously authentic veg Indian food, service and atmosphere, I seek Maruti's out every time I'm passing through Cardiff. Highly recommend a thali or dosa, and the Dal Kachouri are the best I've ever tasted”

“Amazing coffee… my OH is proper coffee fussy and he was really impressed because beach coffee is usually a bit naff. The Mocha was exceptional. We rarely find a mocha that is just the right balance, but this one was delicious! Lovely friendly, helpful lady serving us too :)”
