“The NHS works very efficiently when it has to. I was given excellent care and attention when I attended the Heath A&E department with an injury and spreading infection. Despite attending in the early hours of the morning in a busy A&E with consequent long waiting times, the staff were courteous and helpful and gave full explanations of my treatment. Having been initially assessed and treated at the Heath I was redirected to Llandough hospital specialist orthopaedic department where I was seen, treated and then booked in for an operation the following morning. The surgeon and his team were efficient and helpful, the operating theatre facilities were modern and excellent and the staff supportive throughout. Post op support was just as good. I can only profusely thank everyone involved in my care .”

“I am new to the CAMHS service at Tonteg Child & Family clinic and I was a bit nervous about attending. I found the welcome very friendly, and the mental health nurse who saw us (I think his name was Rich) and the trainee nurse who were present were both so good. I felt very reassured by his advice and appreciated the advise/sign posting about our next steps. From GP referral to this initial assessment was only 3 weeks which exceeded my expectations. I don't know, however, the wait time for next steps. Thank you CAMHS for the work you are doing.”

“I post with the full knowledge of the limitations of mental health services, the most underfunded of an chronically underfunded health service. When I have needed an appointment, they have got me one. Dr Cutinha is always supportive and the reception staff and patient and friendly, evening when I mess up my appointments. When I had a CPN they did their best with the little resources they had. I hope the mental health services will be properly funded so they can do more.”
