“Went here yesterday 18th dec for some hot drinks before panto at the priory theatre. 5 adults 2 teens and a 6 year old. The man serving us (didn’t catch his name) couldn’t be more accommodating, very friendly and helpful and enthusiastic he took our order, made suggestions on drinks including which size would be best for the little one and then found us a lovely table, the waitress (also didn’t catch her name) young girl was lovely, the vibe felt very welcoming and the hot drinks were really cheap and the hot chocolates had cream and marshmallows which were offered I didn’t have to ask like in most places. Will deffo be back hopefully for food next time”

“A wonderful pub in the shadow of Kenilworth Castle that serves huge plates of excellent pub grub for very reasonable prices. Friendly efficient staff and lovely real ale. Do go there if you're in the area. Probably best to book to ensure a table as it was almost full when we were there.”

“We were very hungry visitors to the town. Never visited before, and was on the look out for a full English, we were actually heading to find somewhere else but this caught my eye. Never heard of it before but have since learnt that they have many around the country. Welcome and service was exceptional. We had a person with an allergy with us and the staff were very thorough and made us all feel at ease. Allergy menu available on line and easy to see. Food arrived and it didn't disappoint at all. Great portion with a bit of everything on it and it was amazing. Thank you to Liliana for being an enthusiastic, helpful, chatty ray of sunshine and making it all the more special. “My husband and I use Costa at Coleshill because its local but we've also now built up good rapport with the staff in there Alexi, Lillie, Molly, Abbie and Jake and the other girls. We enjoy the atmosphere and banter. I feel comfortable to go in there on my own because they make me feel welcome. We've been to other Costa's but Coleshill is our favourite. If the staff left we'd probably go elsewhere.”

“Booked a table for Sunday lunch. Service was outstanding, we were served promptly and had frequent check backs. Food and drinks were delivered to our table quickly! Fastest service I've ever seen! I had roast pork with the cheesy cauliflower and it was amazing! Full of flavour and big portions. Cheesy cauliflower was out of this world!!! I had dessert too (chocolate brownie).. amazing too! Overall I had an amazing meal here and will definitely return! All staff were very friendly, nice and attentive. Thank you!”

“I used to be a regular at the Clarendon a couple of years ago and it was always a decent place for a good pint and interesting food. It was the sort if place that attracted a completely mixed crowd: students, business workers, hipsters, builders and parents. I knew that it had changed hands and was a bit apprehensive. Even more so when I heard it's now owned by the same people who own Yates Wine Lodge and Slug & Lettuce. Don't worry. It's good. They've redecorate, but not removed all the fantastic musician drawings. They've added their own character to the place, but not erased what made it a great place. I've only been at lunchtime, and it wasn't busy, but it still had a good feel. The barman (or manager) I chatted to was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Great range of keg, cask & bottled beer. Interesting food menu. Not too bright. Vintage consoles available. Sport on tv in a separate area and dogs are welcome. If you are offered an upgrade to "angry chips", say yes. Don't ask, just say yes. A wholehearted recommendation. Glad they didn't ruin the place. Now if they could just do something about Yates in Nottingham...”

I rang the RAC who said they'd come out but it would be 2 hours minimum. I popped in to get a coffee, explain the situation and ask if it was OK to park here that long and wait for the RAC and the lovely staff member sympathised and as I went to get my card out, she said, this is on us today! WOW! I protested but she wouldn't have it, so here I am sat waiting in the warm, latte in hand, phone plugged in to the free electric and WiFi! Once I get going I have another 250 miles to cover so to say this is a very welcome relief and unexpected BONUS, is an understatement!!”
