“Hubby and I went with Hattie our Cockerpoo. We had a delicious bacon cob and pot of tea and a cheese and onion toastie which was delicious as well. Cappuccino was the best I've had for a long time. Certainly go back.”
“lovely food and staff highly recommend”
“Great experience at the café today. Service was excellent and the homemade tomato and butternut squash soup was delicious.”
“Lovely food options, super friendly ladies, fast service and very reasonable prices”
“What an experience. We had a group afternoon tea for a hen party and the staff at the cafe could not have been more wonderful. Such a friendly team, offering to take photos for us, chatting with us. Just an amazing time and we all have been talking about it and telling others about it! We had a wreath making workshop in the cafe after the afternoon tea which was just great. Businesses joining together. A great atmosphere with other businesses on the yard too. Scones were absolutely DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!”
“Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. What more could you ask for?! We love our little Wednesday treat!”
“Super tasty and incredible value food and drinks. Come here if you're local to Swad as it's open to the public, don't let the barriers at the entrance to the industrial estate put you off (security is friendly) because the food and service is sooo worth it. Plus parking right outside :-)”
“We so enjoyed our first visit and hope to go again very soon”
“A really lovely little café. Friendly and relaxed. Their kitchen is free from the 14 main allergens. All the food is plant-based. It was perfect for me and my friend to have a safe Gluten-free meal... Tasty, fresh, natural food.”
“Speedy service, fantastic menu full of variety - definitely an option for everyone! Lovely atmosphere and surroundings, clean and tidy. Great selection of cakes and desserts on display by the till. Well priced for the portion and quality you get. Offering decaf tea aswell which was a bonus!”
“Staff is really friendly and nice. Just like the food.. Awesome breakfast place if you are visiting burton”
“Sometimes you just need to start a Sunday morning with a coffee and a crispy bacon sandwich and The Old Bank certainly delivers. Friendly staff, prime location to just sit outside watching the World go by. Highly recommended.”
“What a find this place was! I had the “Ultimate” breakfast, and boy was it Ulitmate!! Everything cooked freshly whilst I waited, good size portions, good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. And reasonably priced to top it all off! There wasn’t much of an atmosphere as I’d arrived not too long before they closed, although that wasn’t apparent till I left, I wasn’t rushed to leave or served substandard food. As well as the pictured food, there was 2 rounds of buttered bread (would have been nicer toasted but that’s just personal preference) and a cup of coffee.”
“Every time we come from Brazil to visit my mother in law we go there to have some real English breakfast! It's excellent, well served, and well prepared. They have coffee, tea, some different sorts of beverages, like sodas and canned juice. The staff is very polite and efficient in their service and the place is clean.”
“Went for Sunday soul chill out Met lovely people. Great company fab sounds. Lovely way to spend a Sunday. Will be visiting THE VENUE on the 28th organised by same group. Thanks!! KTF ✊”
“Had coffee only but the lady that runs the café is friendly and polite. The coffee was hot and very tasty. The location makes it even better. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Highly recommended”
“Great service, very quick and good atmosphere. Fresh brew coffee amazing.”
“Wonderful old school cafe serving home made style food. Meal very hot, probably the end of the cottage pie for me but tasted nice. Fairly priced. Staff are bloody lovely, smiling and holding doors open for disabled etc. Attracts the older crowd moreso than the processed food yearning younger generations. Definitely recommended looking around the room at other plates. Nice atmosphere too.”
“Was excited to try The Windmill as it’s under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. Huge portions. My Auntie took home a doggie bag and it lasted two more meals. My new favourite Sunday lunch in Derby. We will most definitely be back!”
“The rebirth this cafe and the park have been crying out for for years. It's so nice to have it run by people who know what they're doing and it's already a big part of the community and an asset to it. The food and drink are great and so are the prices. The vibe is friendly and welcoming, it's always busy, and a treat to visit for anyone.”
“Fantastic no frills cheap eatery in the middle of Derby city centre. Massive portions so you won't leave hungry and even the coffee is pretty good. Excellent value and as long as you know what you getting, not much to moan about here. Great Jacket Potatoes options. Highly recommended.”
“Nipped over here to look at motorbikes and jackets some stunning bike, went in the cafe first fantastic atmosphere bike racing on 2 big screens, quickly served by very polite lad he had different colours in his hair, food came put very quick had the popular cheesy chips to share a sausage cob and a freezing can of pepsi £12.50 good value very clean cafe”

“A really nice National Trust cafe at Staunton Harold reservoir. Inside & outside seating overlooking the children's playground, with views across the water. A lovely view. The chap who served us was very helpful, patient & polite. He helped carry out drinks & eats to our outside table, then came back with sugar & napkins. Service with a smile that was very much appreciated! Thanks very much. We will return . .”

“I would like to give ambience 10 stars as the feeling of peace and ease you get at Chimes is second to non. I found the food fresh, home cooked and delicious and staff were very willing to go out of their way to cater for my fussy children. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble - i would definitely recommend you go and enjoy what will be an amazing meal with the added bonus of antiques to look at - fabulous”
