“My daughter had her 5th birthday there and it was absolutely amazing. Helpful and nice stuff, good contact with the owners. Reasonable price. Would recommend”
“Excellent ice-cream! Perfect for a summer's evening. Quick efficient service, although slightly rushed when busy!”
“We stopped off on the way to Dunbar. A very pretty harbour leading to a lovely soft sandy beach. Great for dogs and children alike. A nice walk along and safe for our dogs to run for a little. We only saw a take away van on the beach itself for food and ice-cream. Would visit again.”
“Lovely place with lots of outdoor seating. Dog and child friendly.”
“Love this place for a wee breakfast when passing by on my bike. Great views over the harbour and always delicious food!”
“The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious”
“Clean place, friendly staff and a delicious meal and coffee.”
“Great cakes and filled rolls for lunch”
“I love Tesco Cafe in Musselburgh. All the staff including Kath, Sharon, Jamie Lee, Myra, Ariana, Amy, Dave, Liz and Shirley are always happy and welcoming. The cafe is extremely busy and they work tirelessly to do the best that they can while always providing the best service. They also make the best coffee in Musselburgh!”
“This is the place that I was always looking for where I can get the hospitality, everyday small plus excellent coffee, tea and marvelous bakery every day deferent kind. I will miss this place but my heart ❤️ is with this beautiful couple running this place god bless them.”
“Good selection of savory food and cakes. Great coffee. Good price, friendly staff.”
“We had a fabulous meal here recently. The service was second to none (provided us with a table for 4, even when there was only 2 of us as it was so busy!) the staff were attentive and the speed of the drinks/starter/main was about the best I've experienced. Recommend the Chateaubriand, sides of potato Dauphinoise, Mac and cheese, seasoned steak chips and chilli broccolini. We also had the vegetarian Empanadas as a starter which were also delicious. A well priced selection of red wines to compliment as well.”
“My brother and I actually visited twice last week such was the quality of the food and service. I tempt fate about once a year and go for a vindaloo, it was superb. My brother had the mixed grill selection and all was beautifully cooked and flavoured. We had a starter selection in advance and all was tasty. A couple of Gurkha beers too just for research purposes! The 2 waiters were most friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend.”
“Great little find off the High Street at lunchtime- some great Real Ales and a proper pub after the tourist traps in Edinburgh - nice little snug out the back - enjoyed it so much we went back later the same day”
“I was finally able to come in and enjoy this wonderful place! I stayed for Quiz Night and had a blast. The staff are such lovely people but especially Kat who is attentive, very knowledgable and such a fun and pleasant personality. Definitely coming back!”
“First visited 3 years ago when in Scotland on holiday had to visit again worth the trip. One of the best places to eat that I been to. Called again 2024 for lunch always have to visit when we are nearby on holiday. Very friendly staff always make a fuss of the dog and food as good as ever. My wife said she just wanted a salad and I ended up with half due to the size of it.”
“Brilliant atmosphere at the curry night, service great and so friendly. Will definitely be back and highly recommend trying out. I'm trying the breakie next. I've been told it's lovely!”
“Wonderful tasty food. Service was second to none - Peter and his colleagues were top class professionals, friendly, polite and without doubt a key part of the relaxed ambience here. We had dishes from the lunch menu, and aside of there being plenty of lovely food, was also excellent value. If you've not been here, booking a table is recommended! The whole experience was so enjoyable, and despite us living in Glasgow, we intend to visit again. Well done to all the staff.”
“Cool place down to earth staff customer banter real ale”
“The cafe was lovely, atmosphere and decor felt inviting. The staff were always smiling quick and ready to help. The food is was and always will some of the best fish and chips I've eaten. Not exaggerating. If I was from the area I would certainly be eating regularly however I'll have to wait for my next holiday. 10/10 and some more, don't pass by without trying.”
“5 stars for the food and service. Haddock and chips lovely, chicken burger top notch. The chicken was unadulterated, didn't come covered in a million and one spices or topped with some chilli relish rubbish, it was great, just what I wanted. Nice piece of chicken, mayonnaise, salad and gerkins. The menu said fries and we were expecting the usual skinny things you tend to get when it says that but what we received was really good chips. Nice pot of tea, very friendly and helpful service. Looking forward to returning soon.”
“Went for the Sunday roast hear lots about it. What can i say the meat cooked perfectly, crunchy potatoes soft inside..with percent carrots and a wee treat cheesy cauliflower.we shared sticky toffee..yummy lush custard to...luca was so kind and attentve as was Frida I think was her name..highly recommend here.. great staff, fabulous food at a great price.. Then a wee drink and chat in the bar. A really great afternoon”
“The reason for 3 star atmosphere is that this pub as quiet. but the music played on jukebox were classic.”
“Great pub. Staff and locals good craic and made a fuss of the dog.”
“Traditional local pub no loud music can have a conversation without shouting prices great locals and staff very friendly what else do you need .you will find it hard to find another place to relax with a pint”
“I recently stayed in the hotel attached to this pub and it was a great find, The pub and restaurant are not overly busy but I do advise booking in advance on the Greene king app, the bar staff are efficient and friendly, and the bar is stocked with plenty of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The food is reasonably priced and a good range of choice, but the best thing about the pub is the waitress Melissa she is bright bubbly and a genuine ray of light, she runs her tables efficiently, knows the menu inside out and engages with her customers if you do a star of the month she should have it.”
“The bar staff lovely friendly welcoming atmosphere”
“Excellent portion sizes, reasonably priced, nice batter & definitely better than other chip shops in the area.”
“A great pub and a good atmosphere, along with reasonably priced drinks. Popped in twice over the weekend while off to see a show & was busy, but friendly. Drinks are much cheaper than they are priced in some places too.”
