“An amazing place. The staff are so cheerful, helpful and polite, the decor is gorgeous, felt so welcome and cozy straight away. The food was made to order in an open plan kitchen, which was very clean and everything was made fresh. The food itself was absolutely delicious! “Nomination for Outstanding Service – a special member of staff , MD, ASDA Hamilton I would like to nominate Marry D for exceptional customer service following my visit to ASDA Hamilton on Friday evening, 28th November. During my visit, I had already spoken with a couple of team members and through no fault of their own, I still hadn’t been able to find the specialist products I needed and that i didn't even know that i needed. I was just about ready to leave the store thinking the trip might have been pointless. Then I met Marry. Marry immediately stopped what she was doing and gave me her full, undivided attention. Her excellent product knowledge, understanding of product placement and her natural desire to help customers meant she knew exactly what I was looking for and where to find it. Thanks entirely to her, I left the store with everything I needed, something that simply wouldn’t have happened without her assistance. Marry is a special person and a genuinely valuable member of staff. Her warm, professional manner and dedication turned my whole experience around. I also spoke with Martin, one of the on-duty managers, who was equally fantastic. Martin saw exactly where i was coming from and he had an Immediate appreciation for Mary's customer service contribution. I hope this nomination contributes towards any in-house ASDA recognition or rewards for outstanding service, because Marry absolutely deserves it. “The chicken Tikka pizza was good but the doner kebab was fantastic. It could have been a little warmer but SO. MUCH. MEAT! You could have tracked the delivery time with an egg timer - my partner regularly raves about how quickly food arrives, it turns out it's no exaggeration. Definitely ordering delivery again before I head back to the States.”

“First time trying this lil gem of a take away had there award winning Egyptian donner and tikka kebab pizza was beautiful with chips and tried there chilli sauce after travelling up from newcastle for work im here till the 16th and cam safely say ill be trying a few others items from them menu absolutely delicious dont make pizza like this back home 10/10 well done guys n gals”

“First time here since moving to the area and heard they are relocating, which after the meal we had we're thinking of relocating with them! Pizza is fantastic proper Italian pizza with great sauce base and toppings, chips are the best chips I've ever had from a takeaway (can't usually expect much but they were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, well seasoned). We were knackered from the move but the family are lovely and gave us a free loaf of sourdough and garlic butter for breakfast which, considering we have nothing was so lovely and much appreciated. Definitely be back, just wish they weren't leaving so soon!”

“Fabulous location in Blantyre for a delicious meal. We had the full breakfast and the wagu sausages were the best I’ve ever eaten! Every other meal we saw being delivered to tables were mouth watering. The baguettes were huge and the baked potatoes were laden with fillings.The cafe is cosy and welcoming with a friendly atmosphere throughout. Service was quick and accommodating on options. There are good gluten free menu options if you need them and the cafe is wheelchair accessible from the good sized car park. There is additional outdoor seating for the summer and some covered and wind proofed seating with heaters if you would prefer that option to the cosy indoors. The front shop is definitely worth a browse. I bought some delicious caramel apple curd and macaroons. I’ll be going back again very soon as I think this will quickly become my new favourite!”

“I visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon with my family, and as the only vegan in the group, my options were initially very limited. However, when I mentioned this to our server, Courtney, she went above and beyond. She spoke with the chef and came back with several options they could prepare specially for me, which I thought was incredibly kind. The chef made a delicious arrabbiata along with garlic bread made with olive oil instead of butter - simple but delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was brilliant. As a vegan, I don’t always expect restaurants to accommodate me, so I was delighted by how thoughtful they were in offering alternatives. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the wonderful service.”

“The staff went above and beyond, assisted me with decorations and had a vegan diet with no coriander and a group of 13 adults, they did amazing, the food was amazing, drinks. “What a delight to eat at this beautiful restaurant. My husband and I turned up without reservations today after a tough morning following a bereavement to try and take our minds off our sadness. The restaurant owner pulled out all the stops to find us a table, and his kind and friendly manner instantly lifted our spirits. The food was the best we have ever eaten, the staff were so attentive and clearly very happy in their work, and the other customers were obviously in their happy places too. Incredible dining experience in a truly welcoming place full of joy, and heart, and hope. Thank you so much x”

“We stumbled with The Hungry Gannet while my kids were having swimming lesson. What a fantastic place, so polite, smiling and helpful team members. The owner's hospitality is above and beyond. We have Chargrilled chicken with Chips and Grilled veg baguette, with cappuccino and tea. Food is absolutely die for, so fresh. First time I have seen so good place where difficult to fund any fault. Their selection of icecream we couldn't enjoy but worth a try in summer time. Keep rocking team The Hungry Gannet, you deserve all the awards should you wish to enter. My all votes to you.”

“Our go to Chinese restaurant always. Food is amazing especially the chicken satay which is the best. Restaurant was extremely busy on Saturday late afternoon being a couple of weeks before Xmas the staff are impeccable at their jobs were totally under pressure and handled the situation with ease food and service was excellent thank you and look forward to our visit next time.”

“Best pizza ever!. I can only eat a Leo's pizza. It's made as per your request. I have, an extra thin base, tiny bit of cheese. The base is made freshly every day, the quality is superb. The owner is a lovely man and the staff are always busy and provide an excellent service. Best pizzeria ever!.”

“Visited for the first time today, I didn't realise the closing time was soon but the lady with lovely glasses at the counter insisted I sit in after I offered to takeaway instead. My food was beautiful and I was reminded by her to take my time and not to worry, it was honestly the best mushroom soup I've ever had. So reasonable compared to other cafes in Hamilton, I will definitely be returning ”

“Was in for dinner with family on Saturday 29th November. Absolutely loved my visit, food was delicious and service was bang on. We were all served promptly and efficiently by a lady who was an absolute delight (Sure her name was Julie/Julia) She made our visit. Engaged with all my family and she was very attentive.”
