“Met with Sarah and had a full tour of the facility. She was very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. She answered all my questions and made me feel welcome at the club. Introduced me to Julie just before an aqua class was starting and she made me feel welcome too. Have now joined and signing up for aqua class later on this week. Thank you Sarah.”
“I have had back pain for a few months and decided to give back to fitness a try. Matthew was knowledgable and took time to understand to root cause of my pain. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with back pain”
“Great experience. Loved the atmosphere. It's not common that you can take your 3 year old kid to a football game so being able to enjoy a football game where my kid can play about, where there are other kids and not constant swearing is nice. Everyone is friendly and respectful, lots of space, very welcoming. Very nice to see the kids playing with footballers after the game”
“Safe from beginning to end. Our NHS heroes do their best to make you feel safe, and they succeed. A note: They give you the ‘Read this before you take the vaccine’ notification *after* you’ve received it, but they do ask you questions to assure safety before you get the jab.”
“The gyms real nice but on the small side but really good”
“I’ve just joined and I love it - great cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. It’s very clean, modern, and has a nice view.”
“Clean luxurious warm and welcoming. Top notch free weights and other equipment with plenty of space and variety. Highly recommended for training and then relaxing in the sauna steam room and pool.”
“I was a member of the University of Glasgow Sports Centre for about two years, and looking back, I genuinely appreciate how lucky we were to train there. While there were areas that could use refurbishment – such as the male changing rooms on the 3rd floor and occasional issues with the sauna and steam room – the overall offering was nothing short of world class. The gym featured ELEIKO plates, proper strength training equipment, and an incredible 14 or so squat platforms. Yes – that many, and all of them from ESP. That alone puts it far above most commercial gyms. And all of this was available at a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere. In London or the surrounding areas, you'd need to shell out around £250 per month at a place like David Lloyd to get access to similar facilities – if you can find them at all. So to any students, staff, or members of the public currently training there: make the most of it. The University of Glasgow Sports Centre is a serious facility, and you may not realise how special it is until you move away.”
“I’ve been to a lot of physios over the years, but this is the first time I’ve felt genuinely understood and properly assessed as a runner. Jonny is an ultrarunner himself, so he knows exactly what runners go through, and his advice is practical, specific, and actually works. The plan he gave me was tailored to my goals, my mileage, and my upcoming races, and I felt improvements almost immediately. If you’re a runner dealing with a stubborn injury or just want an expert who actually cares and knows what he’s doing, go see Jonny Kilpatrick the right person to see. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.”
“Great experience with gym and sauna. Always someone around if you need assistance. Never gad to wait for equipment. Great selection .”
“David Lloyd Rouken Glen offers a top-tier gym with a wide array of modern equipment. I am yet to try it but I hear the golf course is also well maintained. Roisín, Flora and Reece to name a few have always been more than happy to help and always greet me with a warm welcome. Great job team!”
“What a delightful experience. The reception area is comfortable and welcoming. After a very short wait I was taken for my massage by Samantha and all I can say is 'healing hands'. Skilled, professional and soothing. My back is better and my mood is better. I'll definitely be going back.”
“Ryan showed me and my partner round the David Lloyd’s in Hamilton and was super informative and helpful. He took the time to explain all the facilities and how we would go about booking in for classes within the gym. We were offered a drink whilst we sat down to complete our membership, nothing was a bother and the whole process was smooth and easy thanks to Ryan.”
“Always a pleasure to visit David Lloyd. The facilities are great and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. We've had a family membership for over 20 years and still really enjoy it. In my opinion, it's the best gym in the area.”
“The architectural designs here are worth seeing, stunning. The swinging beams over the pool are great for strength, skill and entertainment value. Lovely pool, clean, great facilities. Decent showers. Original cool dip plunge bath”

“Friendly racquets club in the heart of Glasgows leafy West End. Have been a member for 25 years now , the club providing squash and tennis for all levels. Recent extension leased to CAFE PARMA giving excellent Italian fayre with a fine selection of continental lagers. We just recently had our 100 yr centenary luncheon party. All in vintage whites. Great day.”
