“Visited the café for lunch while looking around the gallery, and it was so good we returned for breakfast a few days later. Food was absolutely delicious - high quality, flavoursome ingredients and service with a smile.”
“What a beautiful little tea room within Thornes Park. Fantastic and very friendly atmosphere. Very dog friendly and our fur baby is given a sausage snack as do all doggies. We have a walk around this beautiful park finishing with a visit to our favourite tea room. Try it. You'll love it.”
“Brought my mum here for the afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and neither of us could rate it any higher. The effort that went into making this was second to none and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was both our first time coming and it certainly won’t be the last! I also bought a few baked goods and they were delicious. Hannah the owner is so lovely and it was worth every penny!! We’re so happy to have found this lovely little gem of a café!”
“Lovely, great cake and lovely staff. The coffee was really well made. Me and my toddler felt very welcome and we played happily while enjoy our cake for 40 minutes. Would definitely come back.”
“Went in for a breakfast with my 6 year old daughter and wife . The value was good and the produce was quality. Will defo be going again. The manager looked after us really well and nothing was too much trouble.”
“Went for breakfast here and got the small breakfast with hash brown. I would argue this breakfast is better than many of the breakfasts I have had within Leeds city centre and beats capri cafe. I would highly recommend, the staff are lovely and accommodating and you can tell the food is made with love. I recommend bringing cash to leave a lovely tip for this amazing local cafe.”
“Very friendly old school builders cafe, lovely food & exceptional value, Highly recommend.”
“An absolutely little gem in Walton! It’s the most child friendly cafe that I’ve ever visited and couldn’t cater anymore to our little ones. Even better than the food is delicious too and it’s over the road from a lovely little park. We come here regularly and my little boy is always asking for the waffles. It’s really rare to find places that’s are inclusive for children, so thank you so much for always making mine feel welcome!”
“Popped into wakefield for a change. You couldn't find a better place to unwind with the best mocha ive ever had. Ham and cheese paninis are amazing.”
“Saved my life during the birth of my child at the hospital next door with a 4 day induction of labour. Excellent sandwich. I don't know if it was sleep deprivation or what but the brown sauce will always live in my memory (I reckon it was just daddies).”
“What a lovely independent coffee shop. Lovely friendly staff, who were so cheerful and warm. Coffee was excellent. Cheese and Ham Toastie was superb, generous with the ingredients. Cakes looked amazing. The place was really busy, while the chain coffee shop next door was empty! Spotless toilets! Outside seating too. Right next to the Cathedral.”
“Stopped In while travelling, fast service, very nice polite staff, very tasty breakfast, we ordered the small breakfast each and it was too much for us to finish. Great value for money would definitely stop there again if we are in the area.”
“I have been coming here for a while, I get tattooed in Wakefield so I need a hearty breakfast to get me going. I was horrified when the Springs location closed, but was relieved to see they'd just relocated. Anyway, great breakfasts and very friendly! I only go in occasionally but they remember, and look after me. Gets a 5 from me any day of the week.”
“This sandwich shop is something else. It was so good. Truly amazing food. Strawberry tarts. Chocolate coffee puddings. Staff are next to 1. This is what we want. I play for Wakefield trinity reserves. I will recommend this shop to everyone I know.”
“The food is amazing, home cooked, very tasty. My son fancied something different so had waffles, the presentation was increadable. He thoroughly enjoyed them. I had steak sandwich with home cooked chips. Very nice indeed. Highly recommend, well worth a visit. You may have to wait for a table however it is worth the wait. Staff are very welcoming. Well done ladies.”
“Came up from London and had great food, drink and company talking with the staff and Richard. The food was homely, delicious and value for money in a great setting. Hope to return in 2026.”
“Amazing Christmas dinner for work! Emily made sure everything was done properly and we felt well looked after. I will be back!”
“Just stopped by at 7.30am for a sandwich on the way to the gym. Absolutely outstanding, not greasy whatsoever, lovely fella behind counter cooking. Love this sanwich shop, always have always will”
“Better than your normal garden centre food..... Good choices, well cooked and presented. But gets very busy and noisy at times.... Well worth a visit”
“Great local gaming cafe, massive selection of games and the chap who runs it is a top bloke”

“Fantastic and very friendly people. I have been feeling more than welcome there.”
