“See the update at the end of this original review. We have been coming here since the very beginning. It started with a kiosk while the cafe was being finished. We were extremely impressed by the fabulous coffee and brilliant staff. When Caffe Valeria was opened we knew we had found “our” place! We visit often, both as a couple and some times with friends. The coffee is and the choice of cakes and pastries is excellent. The staff are always smiling and making us feel welcome. All the staff are helpful and kind. We must mention George, Liv and Olly as going above and beyond to make us feel special. Please don’t change a thing. Helen and David Update, George, Liv and Ollie (the stars of Valeria’s) have all left taking its heart with them. We no longer go there. Staff could be better trained, owner unpleasant. We feel we have lost something very special.”

“An absolutely bloody exceptional meal. Lamb chops, still slightly pink, seasoned to perfection. Complex curries, very spicy, but still delicious and enjoyable. Lovely chippies, massively tasty naan bread. Not exactly service with a smile but professional enough not to detract from the experience. Best part? The price. Two course meal for two and three alcoholic drinks for less than £70. Outstanding. Best curry house in York and definitely in our top three country-wide. Will be thinking about this meal for a while...”

“Just wanted to say that the lady that was working on Monday 24th June with the blonde bobbed hair with classes is a fabulous member of the team. I don’t normally come to this branch and didn’t catch her name but popped in with my little girl over an ailment she had for some advice. She was so lovely and helpful. We got sorted with the medication we needed with no problems and a smile”

From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and offered assistance with our needs. She was attentive, ensuring both children and parents felt welcomed and well-cared for. Not only did she keep the play area clean and safe, but she also engaged with the kids, making their experience even more enjoyable. Her patience and enthusiasm were truly commendable. “Mrs Cornhill by far is one of the best teachers and head of school asset anyone could wish for their child’s education She leads her team of teachers striving for an outstanding school which she has and is constantly encouraging new innovative methods of teaching and providing a dynamic learning environment for the pupils She has a thorough understanding of behaviour and each individual child in a none judgemental attitude towards all who attend I can only think that any poor reviews on this site have been written to cause distress and not factual and one of them in very ignorant poor taste which is a disgrace Please anyone interested in choosing this school do so with the utmost confidence do not be taken in by mischief makers Grandma”
