“Quirky and fun! The decor is all kinds of classic English history with a hearty splash of irreverence, split across a couple buildings that feel like homes rather than a hotel. The room itself was small, but that suited me perfectly — great for a solo traveller. Only thing to note is I’m somewhat tall for a woman and on that bed I just about could touch my toes to the window sill while my head was by the headboard. I thought it was quite fun but taller people might want to take note. Everything was neat and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The walls are a little thin, like in any old house, so you can hear some bustling in the morning, but I personally found that endearing. The staff were very kind and friendly, and even introduced me to the hotel cat, Teddy! The location is great, just a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of town. I come through York frequently so I can say with certainty and delight that I’ll be staying here again! Thanks again to the staff for a lovely experience.”

“I'll come out the gate with a negative - Keighley isn't the loveliest of spots... But TotG was a little gem amongst it all. Lovely food - sunday roast - with good optional extras. But the stand out was the beer. So well kept, delicious, multiple option, and the ability to choose paddles of different types. Staff were fantastic and - aside from a couple who sat directly next to us and stared for the whole meal... - the pub was lovely inside.”

The toastmaster was fantastic and kept everything running smoothly while making us feel like truly special people. The food was outstanding. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! We are beyond grateful for such an incredible experience and will always cherish the memories made here. “Friends of ours recently moved to the area, so we went to visit them for an evening, and after reading about the pub online beforehand, I was a little on the fence as the place has some 'strict' rules. However, as soon as we entered, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the regulars were also lovely and chatty. It felt like a time warp (in a good way) of when pubs were pubs, and people mingled and just chatted and laughed. Something that feels lost these days. No riff raff, just good people, and good beer. Although I'm only 32, I gravitate to pubs with older punters, as they're not stuck to a phone all evening, and just want to socialise and be present. We all loved the place. It was cosy, warm, inviting, and best of all, extremely fairly priced! We will definitely be back the next time we visit!”

From the moment we entered the showroom to the final snagging, they listened to what we wanted, advised objectively and wisely and never tried to upsell. We wanted a lovely kitchen with full project management and I also have mobility and strength issues and Jasmine designed a kitchen that was easy to navigate while Tammy was really knowledgeable about adaptations that would help me. No one looks forward to a kitchen fit but Matt and Craig made it as easy as possible, very considerate and not phased by having to accommodate 2 people working from home and 2 cats constantly trying to kill them. The project management and fitting was next level, suggesting adjustments that would add value, they are both perfectionists and a joy to have in your home. The whole team take pride in their work. Just one example of the the fabulous service. We switched to an induction hob and our pans didn't work. 2 hours later and on a Sunday afternoon Tammy turned up with a new pan set. TL:DR: Amazing design, product, service and craftsmanship. Lovely people. Use them.”
