βGenuinely one of the best places in Leeds we have ever gone to and we have gone to a lot of places. So knowledgeable and absolutely lovely guy who runs the place we are now determined to become regulars for this place and really not too expensive at all for what you get can't recommend this place enough.β

βThis is definitely the cafe you want to go! The cakes are freshly made and extremely delicious. The coffee served here is incredible and made to perfection. Finally the staff are absolutely amazing and nothing is too much for them.β
βKurdish Modern Barbers has exceeded my expectations. For the price that I paid for my haircut (Β£10) I would easily expect to pay double if not more in other locations in Leeds. The difference is that the here are all very experienced and they take pride in their job. All staff are able to cut hair of varying textures. They are aware that the texture, thickness and type of hair requires different cutting techniques. I have visited this store six times and can say for certainty that ALL staff have always been courteous, friendly and attentive when cutting hair. They are skilled at what they do and take pride in their work.β
βGreat shop. Owner is super knowledgable and itβs immaculate inside. Friendly independent shop with a great range. Exactly what you want for buying a premium product.β
βI had recently visited this place for a haircut. Robert from Moon Barbers did haircut for me. He was very patient and got my hair cut as per my instructions. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a reasonable price and excellent stylish hair cut. Special kudos to Robert for his hair cut.β
βSuch a beautiful building with intricate artwork and decoration.β
βWhat a lovely and warm, welcoming and gorgeous gem of a pub. Kath Mark and all the other staff were exactly what you want in a public houses staff; Friendly, chatty and able to pull a pint. The beer garden is ample in space. The interior is clean and homely, a proper nice pub in a lovely part of the world. I have visited the pub 3 weeks on the trot for the last 3 Wednesdays to attend the acoustic music evening (From 7.45pm onwards)- If you want to hear great music or participate in a real, good old fashioned open session with some fantastic players this is the place for you. You don't have to be the best singer, guitarist, fiddle player or percussionist to join in, just be respectful when others are playing and join in if you like, just how it should be. I would definitely class the Bay Horse music night as one of the best I've been to, period. Great environment, great people, a local affair that welcomes visitors. They don't serve food, neither do they need to- It is perfect as it is.β
βStupendous trim they even have limited edition tango in fridgeβ
βThis was the first CT scan that I have experienced. The procedure was at the request of my dental surgeon prior to undertaking a Β£3000 one front tooth implant, currently occupied by a broken incisor. Super glue had been my other alternative, but caused my upper lip to be swollen for a few days. I regret the 3K cost (no longer available on the NHS due to extensive free use by others!) but am still able to use my flexible dentures and retain the remaining 20 total teeth that I have left. At 77 they may still see me through the rest of my life (hope that's not tempting fate) I cannot praise CT Dent highly enough for their highly efficient services, knowledge and sophisticated equipment they used and all for a mere Β£120. which pales into insignificance considering the full cost. Well done you! Best Regards E.β
βAlways have a good time at the working men's. Friendly staff, decent drinksβ
βBrilliant accomodation in central Leeds. Well appointed rooms. Lifts were out of order, but no offer for any help with the bags on arrival or departure. Fire alarm went off in middle of night ( very loud!).Apparently , this happens a lot as it's the fire door attached to the bar which is shared and it opened by mistake , setting off very loud alarms. Rooms have a small but useful selection of breakfast snacks , which were very handy with jet lag. Room was lovely and warm and welcoming for a late 11pm Friday night arrival. Was greatly appreciated. Would definitely staff here again over a hotel. Their online customer services/bookings was excellent.β
β2mile narrow lane to get there. Didn't stay ,it's nestled in a small cove shot walk to RHB via up over the path through the woods or when tides out around the headland lovely cove, amenities are there toilets, meals etc well worth the steep walk down from the (free) carpark. ....go againβ
βGreat food, full of flavour. Lovely serviceβ
βBeautiful hotel, very close to train station and a short walk from the main shopping area of York. We had a lovely visit, and most of the staff were very courteous, welcoming and friendly. The room was well presented and we had a very comfortable bed. It is a higher priced hotel and you could see the attention to detail and little touches that made it special. We were slightly disappointed that we didn't receive the same warm level of greeting as other guests. It was a stay we'd saved for and had looked forward to very much. It was obvious they had regulars, which is fantastic and means the hotel gets it right as a general rule. But it would have been nice if we'd had a little conversation with the check-in member. The couple being checked in next to us were being asked very general questions like where they'd travelled from, creating a little conversation, but we didn't get the same; just a hello and asked about what card we wanted to put on file for incidentals and then silence. I did attempt to make a little polite conversation with the receptionist but it was clear that they were not interested. It made us feel a little awkward. Asking simple customer service questions makes guests feel welcome and at ease, which we didn't experience at that point. On checking out it was better; we were asked if we'd enjoyed our visit to York, where we were going back to, etc. It made us feel more welcome, even though we were checking out. All in all though, our check in experience hasn't put us off booking in again at some point. Chances are it was an exception to their usual level of service.β
βA big shout out for Tom for the support he gave us when we visited Everyman in York today. We are still adjusting to life in a wheelchair so were disappointed to find that there is no lift access to theatre one on the first floor. Tom patiently helped us negotiate the stairs and ensured that we were safely seated. His kindness and generosity contributed significantly to an enjoyable day out. That said, surely there should at least be a stair lift installed. Planning regulations were given as the reason for inadequate access provision but surely the Local Authority could be supporting the building owners to find a solution which respects the historic building whilst upholding Yorkβs commitment to inclusivity.β
