I had what should’ve been a simple fuse change to do but unfortunately, because of the location of the fuse box (behind the glove box but blocked by the dash trim) it wasn’t reachable. I asked Halfords (when I bought the fuse) and they couldn’t do it. So when I had some spare time before collecting my daughter from Rachael Swann dance school round the corner, I thought I’d pop in to AutoCare and ask if they had the necessary tools to reach it. The guy I spoke to was not only very welcoming, but was happy to stop what he was doing and have a look. Five minutes later, he’d got his tools, and got the fuse out. The replacement fuse Halfords sold me was wrong but not to worry, he went into the office and found the right one and fitted it. In and out within 5 minutes, with great customer services. He wouldn’t even accept any payment for the job despite my offer. Great guys, knowledgable, friendly, and will be returning even though I’m not that local.”

“I needed a competition clutch set up for a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus rally car. This is a 1979 car which makes it a little different. After a chat with Mick on the phone I took the existing pressure plate, flywheel, clutch plate and release bearing up to CG in Leeds. After a good discussion about what I needed Mick offered to make a paddle clutch plate to suit my vehicle and we stuck with the standard pressure plate to make frequent changes easier. Picked up the new plate only a day later, fabulous quality of work (and as an engineer I know what I'm talking about). It's not so common these days to find a company who have the expertese to interpret your requirements and the skills to then produce the high quality product. This company is a real 5 star find recommended to me by a fellow rally driver that had a similar experience dealing with CG Motorsport.”
