“Decided to try Mays Kitchen today 11/09/19, on a friends recommendation and we were not disappointed, we will be going back. Outstanding food and friendly service, very good price for what we had. We had the option to eat in or take away, we ate in. Great opening times, as its always difficult to find somewhere to eat after 2.30pm. Mays are open 12-8pm 6 days per week. Perfect!!! “This is the only place I feel safe getting my hair done. The staff are so lovely and always treat me with kindness and respect, and I always leave with a great haircut and colour for a great price. They are a down to earth studio that value its strong regular customer base, but are always welcoming and warm to new faces. Being queer and autistic I was VERY nervous about getting my hair done professionally, and had settled for cutting my own hair for years, however my partner persuaded me to give them a try and I am so thankful I did. I absolutely love this place, highly recommend!”

“We have updated this review as we've now had the larger armchair reupholsted as planned. We cannot thank Laura enough as this particular chair was in a really bad state but Laura didn't give up as she knew how much we wanted to keep the chair. At one stage even Laura's husband helped out so we thank him also for his effort. If you want someone who is committed, talented and as lovely and helpful as Laura, then look no further. ------- I would highly recommend Oxygen Upholstery. I have had an ottoman and 6 dining chairs re-upholstered by Laura and they are looking fantastic. She is a lovely and friendly person and with her knowledge of upholstery is able to give good advice on what needs doing. I will be going forward in the next few months with plans to re-upholster two armchairs and I'm really looking forward to seeing their transformation. Since we had the ottoman and the dining chairs upholstered by Laura we've also had our small armchair done. We think her workmanship is first class with excellent balance and pattern matching. We are so pleased with it and are looking forward to having the bigger wing back chair re-upholstered in due course.”

“I could not fault any part of my stay here. I booked this as a base for my business meeting the following day. I received a warm welcome from Harro upon my arrival. The bedroom was very clean and a good size with a very comfortable bed. The en suite was also nice and clean and had a good shower. My breakfast next morning was lovely and Harro went out of his way to ensure I got away on time for my meeting. It is a perfect base for exploring the area or using as a base for meetings in that area. There is a lovely pub serving good value food a couple of minutes walk up the road. I had a relaxing, comfortable and quiet stay here and would highly recommend it. I'll certainly be back when I have business in that area.”

“First visit to this cafe set within a motorcycle haven. We had not visited before due to parking for cars being an issue however a new car park across the road is now available. There is still the motorbike parking next to the cafe. Situated next to a lovely stream there is seating under cover outside overlooking the stream and wooded valley. Inside there is so much memorabilia you don’t know where to look first. We had just arrived after a large party so had to wait as the kitchen was very busy but we only waited 20 minutes till we could order. That 20 minutes flew by as we looked at the items on display. We have an all day breakfast and pie and chips. The food was very good and served quickly. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere in the family run cafe. The prices were really good and definitely value for money. Definitely recommend a visit and will be visiting again.”
