“The young lady who served me should be the face of domino.. she helped me with the menu as I had forgot my specs. She gave me options and delivered a first class service. And with a smile that showed she cared. I don't know your name, but thank you for being ACE..”
“Small shop conveniently located on Wigan Road. It sells a mix of everything, despite its small size, so you can generally find what you're looking for - or a close alternative. Staff are friendly, and there's normally plenty of them around the shop should you need any help. The store is generally clean, tidy and well stocked.”
“Lovely staff always have a brilliant service”
“This was a fantastic lounge to visit, with a flashy counter really welcoming me and my friend to sit back! The design is hip and colourful, staff were friendly and we enjoyed classic shots.”
“All the staff are so friendly and its a good vibe and the food is amazing”
“Came here on Tuesday for a game of bowling and a few drinks, Matt was an amazing host and couldn't do enough for us. 5/5 to him and the venue. Will definitely go again!”
“By far the best Indian I’ve had. Hats off to the staff and owners. Very highly recommended. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Quality of food was hands down 10/10.”
“Our first visit yesterday 26/10 and it won’t be our last. The staff, food and drinks were amazing. Our glasses were never empty and the selection of cocktails for the bottomless brunch were great. We ordered way too much food but everything we tried was delicious. Staff were lovely and extremely attentive. Special thanks to our server Amy S and the lovely Sean C who made sure our glasses were always full and were happy to engage some great banter with myself and my best friend. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.”
“Incredible customer service. Great rates. We got a 16 seater mini bus for a return trip from Wigan to Irlam. Our driver patient, safe and friendly. Eventhough I mixed up the initial drop off postcode and we had a late passenger he was very considerate, showed no frustration and simply took us where we needed to go.”
“My colleague and I visited the café on Monday and had a lovely cup of coffee. The place was spotless and we was greeted with a very warm welcome. The cakes looked delicious, though we resisted as we were trying to be good! The food smelled fantastic too. A brilliant spot for anyone wanting a cuppa and a bite to eat! :)”
“Our first time in Cafe Rosso, a very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Traybakes amazing. First ever mocha and it was beautiful. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.”
“Just happen to drive past and see this place. So glad we stopped. Amazing food such good quality and tasted amazing. I always look how clean a place is and this place is spotless. Can't recommend enough. X”
“Cannot praise Casa Carlos enough. Right from being greeted by the lovely Sophia the atmosphere was second to none. Feeling relaxing, comfortable and at home it took me back to my many times abroad visiting tapas bars certainly could have been anywhere but Wigan Town centre. We were offered drinks then later ordered our food at no time did we feel rushed and our personal requests were taken into consideration with no fuss. Oh my days the food was delicious and presented so well and good portions compliments to Callum the chef perfection on a plate! Deserts were delicious almost too nice to eat as they were presented so well. As we wrapped up our dining experience we all agreed we would definately be returning . A beautiful place amazing staff and wonderful atmosphere with fantastic prices to top it off. Thankyou Sophia, Callum and Casa Carlos”
“Good food & reasonable prices. I came here with my two daughters, we had meatballs, a cheese salad and a chicken ceaser wrap. Food was brought to our table promptly and hot.”
“The food was really nice and great value too. The service was also excellent! Would definitely recommend.”
“Great place! We wish we had visited sooner and will definitely be back! Excellent on every front: the talented artist wall that links to customers and staff alike, to the top knowledge, helpfulness and friendliness of the young lady serving us. We loved it!”
“Lovely friendly pub with a real countryside feel. Friendly staff and a great selection of drinks, including real ales and IPAs. A pub fire to die for, very cosy in the winter. No food served, but you can get pork pies on Fridays which are very tasty. Fantastic place.”
“The new menu is absolutely amazing, I love coming to this place as the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is the perfect cosy setting.”
“This was a lovely little cafe but it is indeed little. There is limited space if you have a pram. We coincidentally went in with a travel stroller that we could close off and put in a corner but we would not have managed with our pram. However, staff were very friendly and food was delicious. I did find the menu confusing, in the sense that I was not sure what the theme of the menu was (if this makes sense), because I somewhat expected a lot of Maltese food but this was very limited. Nonetheless, the food was clearly prepared with love and care and it was simple full of taste. We even had a dessert for take away and it was gorgeous as well. We will most definitely visit again.”
“A few minutes walk from the centre, and unfortunately for me , in the wrong direction for the football ground. Just time for a quick pint of excellent Ossett porter. Five handpulls and a big selection of craft beers. The pies looked very tempting.”
“Stopped off for a meal after days bird watching at Martin Mere. Glad we'd booked a table as place was really busy. Nice welcome when we arrived and service was efficient without being obtrusive. Generous portions and the homemade steak pie was delicious. Very reasonable prices too. Will be back.”

“If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Wigan, look no further than Hideout. I walked in expecting your average pub experience, but what I got was nothing short of a culinary adventure! First off, the cheese board was fantastic. I’m pretty sure the cheeses were handpicked by angels. Each bite transported me to a whimsical dairy wonderland. I could’ve sworn one of the cheeses winked at me. If you’re lactose intolerant, I suggest you reconsider your life choices and dive headfirst into this cheesy paradise. And then there was the wine. Oh, the wine! I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best wine I’ve ever had. I could practically hear the grapes singing as they made their way to my glass. It was like drinking liquid happiness. If I could bathe in it, I would—though I’m pretty sure that’s frowned upon in public places. Now, let’s talk about Ste, the barman. This guy deserves an award, preferably one shaped like a bottle of wine. He’s not just pouring drinks; he’s crafting liquid magic. He recommended the perfect wine to go with my cheese board, and I’m convinced he has a sixth sense for what will make your taste buds dance. Overall, Hideout is a must-visit. Just be prepared: the cheese may steal your heart, the wine may take your soul, and Ste might just become your new best friend. Go for the cheese, stay for the magic—just don’t tell anyone I said that!”
“Great place to shop, plenty of choice all at knock down prices, admittedly some of the stock is out of date but its still usable. Never had a problem and I've shopped here many times. Can be a bit hit and miss as to stock but I always watch the Facebook videos to see what's on offer. Staff are great aswell”
“If you want a traditional boozer that is dog friendly this is your place to go. Great beer great atmosphere and friendly people. Dave the landlord does a great job”
“Always a lovely visit, this is easily the best bar in Ashton. Outstanding ale selection, good choice of gin and friendly staff. Even the dog feels welcome!”
