“Very busy cafe with it's own unique vibe. There is a great selection of tasty homemade cakes. If you want something more healthy, the lunch menu is just as good. It can get very busy at lunchtime, which is a sign they are doing something right. There is a large seating area with tables in the room to the left, or else the stools and window seats by the counter are good for those just popping in for a quick drink. In better weather, they have tables outside, where you can be part of the Hoole street scene!”

“I had started on my way home from Wrexham to Anglesey when I remembered I needed some sheep feed. I Googled and found details of this hidden gem What a fantastic place! Great selection of products for smallholders, horse and pet owners, and they also had an array of craft items for sale behind the counter. 25kg baga here seemed to be around the same price as 20kg bags in my local Wynnstay. The H J Lea Oakes brand of feed sold here is excellent quality too.”

“I visited SW with 2 girlfriends this week. They have a new Chef - Luke and a new menu. The best restaurant meal I have had in Chester it was delicious. Great menu - I started with steak tartare followed by the monkfish in lobster sauce. All beautifully prepared and presented the flavours were perfection. The staff were wonderful. Attentive without being intrusive. We had a fantastic evening. Would highly recommend.”

“We had our wedding at The Inn at Huxley on 30.11.2024 and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful – rustic with wooden beams that create such a warm, charming atmosphere, and the ceremony space with its glass doors made for the most stunning backdrop. The outdoor areas are equally gorgeous and added so much to the day. The food was incredible – our guests kept telling us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and we couldn’t agree more. Every course was exceptional. We had to change our date last minute and nothing was ever too much trouble. Clive was amazing throughout the entire process – supportive, responsive, and always available whenever we needed help or reassurance. The Inn at Huxley is a truly special venue, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated our day there. We cannot recommend it highly enough!”

“I recently visited Falafel Xpress and had the classic falafel wrap. It was delicious! The falafel was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the wrap was filled with fresh vegetables and a tasty pickles. I highly recommend trying the tahini sauce, as it is great with everything, especially chips. The shop itself was very clean and had a nice Arabian decor and music. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I had a great experience at Falafel Xpress and would definitely recommend it to others.”

Good value, a little expensive but for the quality of food its good value :) delivery was late tonight by 30 mins but they did tell us it was going to be late and we didn't mind cos the food is always gorgeous! “The Eatery in Chester is a brilliant place to stop and eat, wether you want a cake and coffee or a meal its perfect. We had tea which was hot and strong and a scone with proper butter and jam. It was delicious, the scone was very soft and they warmed it which was a lovely touch. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming and the staff very nice and helpful. We will definately come again on our next visit to Chester.”

“Can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this cute cafe. A nice selection of vegan food in a chilled out environment. The owners were lovely and welcoming, to top it off, they played Pokémon go with us ;) I will definitely be coming here again. Just outside the centre but gets you out for a nice walk in the park.”

“Excellent beer and friendly staff. The regulars are welcoming and talkative. Usually right excellent draft beers and extensive bottle and can selection. Food provider by a series of guest caterers: always compliment the beers and outstanding value Dog friendly too and if you’re coming by train they’ve created a live departure board to ensure that you don’t miss your train”

“The food at Guroma is excellent. I particularly love the tandoori chicken and the sauce it comes with. I haven’t had anything like it and crave it when I’m not in town.
