“I have been using this pet shop for years now. Have bought or he’s ordered me in all the fish I was after. Goes out of he’s way for he’s customers and if doesn’t stock or have anything in stock your after will happily order it for you. It is a brilliant little pet shop and happy to do business with anytime. Their communication is excellent and their products are very good and very well priced. I highly recommend using them for all your pet needs.”

“What a wonderful shop, with such lovely, polite, knowledgeable staff. I have purchased a new tank and fish from The Aquarium and as a total newbie I have no idea. Within a couple of days I knew I'd done something wrong when one of the fish was upside down (i know they don't do backstroke). I went to see the lady in the shop and not only did she help me with the water treatment, they filled up bags with their water and even talked the tank clean through after a rew weeks. Thank you so much and your dog gives such a lovely additional welcome.”

“I upgraded to an annual membership as you cannot do the zoo justice in just one visit. Well maintained enclosures with happy looking animals. Information and knowledgeable staff on hand everywhere and very pleased to interact with visitors. Breeding programs in evidence for the rare creatures too. Very educational for youngsters, although in all honesty I go during the week when less children are about. Favourite enclosures, Butterflies, Reptiles, tropical birds and rainforest. (Some of which are open enclosures so you are up close and personal with the animals) Restaurant available on site although I didn't love it. Gift shop good for a souvenir or two.”

“This amazing Persian restaurant blew me away! The food was incredible - Mirza Ghasemi & Hummus with Nan were divine, and the mains left us perfectly satisfied, not just stuffed (a rare feat!). Service was fantastic - friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Finished with delicious chai tea & sweets - perfect ending! I highly recommend it - authentic, flavorful, and underrated!”

“I was taken into hospital suddenly and my baby girl Moo Moo was at home alone with no-one to feed her or give her water. The council; arranged for her to be taken to The Pussycat Hilton in Rainham. She has not been away from me in the 3 ½ years I have had her and she will be 4 in November. She is the most gorgeous, loving, cuddly but can be jittery around new people and jumpy cat but when she came back to me and having reviewed the website of the Hilton and seeing the pictures/videos they sent me of her I could tell she had been so well looked after, loved, cared for and shown love and affection and treated so well. When she was returned to me by them they gave me a cat bed and some toys (she has toys but not a bed as she tends to snuggle up on my pillow behind my head) but she has slept in the bed and she keeps coming to me for cuddles or strokes which before she did but not as much and I can tell she was so looked after. You couldnt ask for a better place to place your cat if ever needed. Highly recommended and cant thank them enough. They are amazing. Attached are photos of my baby at the hotel and back at home.”

“I’ve taken both my dogs to creatures great and small for their grooming. In total over 15 years. What wonderful staff, who obviously love our precious family pets. I would not hesitate to recommend them. My Shiz Zu, Boe has a number of health issues but the wonder that is Jenny always takes such care with her. And the lovely assistant who serves and takes booking is always delightful.”

“Very helpful on the phone after i had been recommended to try them by a neighbour before I visited in person, They rendered my call and supplied me with fresh healthy oxygenating for my new pond they also gave me advice on how to plant some others water plants I had been given. They and advised me what was unessassary to s buy and what to wait till spring to get abd wgat to get. We left wishing that we had known about Pond life aquatics at the start of our decision to create a pond this summer. Definatly recommend and will return.”

“I bought my dog a new harness on Saturday. Phil the assistant was so helpful. He tried different harnesses on my gog to make sure it was the correct size. Nothing was too much trouble. You don't often get such good service these days, it was a pleasure to shop there.”

“Lovely shop. Well stocked for arts and crafts. Some people say its pricey but don't think it is compared to other independent art supply shops in Rochester or Canterbury for example. Staff helpful and they have a lovely range of gift items and greetings cards too.”

“Beautiful centre to visit. Large selection, both plants and Fish . I would recommend, can easily spend hours inside. Have cafe too . Friendly warm staff with smiles. I visited the Aquarium side, for anyone into the hobby you will find all you need here , and at reasonable prices too.”

“Excellent little shop! I went in for some treats and chews for my dog. They have a little section of assorted chews that you can buy as pick n mix which is great if you don't want to buy a giant tub of dried animal bits! They also sell some lovely succulents, plant pots and other assorted plants. Overall a great local shop and friendly owners. We'll be back for more dog treats and plants soon!”

“I set up my first fish tank just after Christmas, and Squires Aquatic Department has been amazing in advising me on the best ways to make it successful. I bought blue neon tetras. Fish, I have always wanted. Squires staff advised on how many to first introduce to the tank, when to add snails and shrimp. Great service. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. This will be my go-to store.”
