“Went Sunday night and it was quiet inside but the food did not disappoint at all. This will now become my goto Turkish even though I live close to yaprak in eastcote I think this is worth the 20 minute drive for the better food. Price is similar. I thought the seasoning and quality of the meat was better. Next time I am bringing my kids to see what they think but I think they will agree”

“A Proper Little Cafe - Great Find Was in Rickmansworth on a Saturday morning and looking for a proper brunch spot that wasn't a big chain. Stumbled upon Cafe Deli 122 and it was exactly what we were after. First off, it's a small place and was pretty bustling when we arrived, which is always a good sign. We managed to get the last free table. It's not a fancy spot by any means; it has that classic, unpretentious British cafe feel, which was perfect for a relaxed breakfast. The menu isn't huge, but it has all the essentials you'd want. I went for the poached eggs and my friend had scrambled eggs on a toasty bagel. You can tell they use good ingredients. My eggs were perfectly runny and served on some proper thick-cut toast. The coffee was decent too – a good, strong flat white that actually tasted of coffee, not just hot milk. Service was quick and friendly, no fuss. The lady behind the counter was managing the rush really well and still had a smile for everyone. The best part is the price. For the quality of the food, it's brilliant value. It's easy to see why it's popular with locals. If you're looking for a solid, no-nonsense breakfast or lunch that tastes great and doesn't cost a fortune, this is the place. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.”

“I visited The Old Shepherd for the first time on Saturday evening and was very impressed with everything about it. The decor and lighting help to create a great atmosphere along with the helpful and friendly staff and welcoming locals. The quality, portion size and value of the food was outstanding, I ordered a veggie burger which was the best i've ever been served in a pub and the fries were delicious too. I'm told there's live music now on most Saturdays and the artist playing was of a very high standard. Highly recommended venue worth travelling to.”

We are always welcomed with open arms and the team bend over backwards to accommodate us. I must shout out the whole team… they’re all amazing… however, Becks has served us since we first started coming here, since moving in locally, before Jason the Head Chef joined, she was the main reason for our return. Jason joined, the food has been out of this world… I would recommend the roasts - they’re delicious! The beef is served pink and the vegetables are cooked perfectly and well seasoned. It’s always a pleasure coming to visit The Black Horse and we cannot recommend it enough. “I've been living in Watford for 12 years and this is the first time I've tried this place. All I can say is, it's outstanding, not just for this area but it's one of the best Fish & Chips I've ever had. The batter was perfect (so many places get this wrong), as was the fish and the portions are HUGE. My son had one of the equally massive sausages wrapped in bacon, again, very good indeed. The Cock Inn is now under new management and working hard to revive this lovely old pub. Monday/Tuesday lunch menu is not extensive, but excellent quality and “just right” in portion size. Staff were polite and accommodating towards our needs and had a chuckle at our order. It's quite different for me but enjoyable. There are plenty of car parking spaces. “A lovely friendly pub. Very popular with the locals of Croxley Green but you’re made to feel very welcome on arrival. Seating outside front garden & also out the back garden which is nice, but over looks the car park. The car park can get full at peak times but not normally a problem to find somewhere local to park. Dogs are allowed both inside & outside and on the few occasions we have visited there has always been many dogs here. The vibe seems really chill & relaxed. Food is good, I always go for the superfood salad as it’s simply the most amazing thing which sounds strange for a salad but it’s amazing!”

Online ordering was quick and easy, great choice of dishes for veggies and meat-eaters. We went with a few small plates rather than mains as we wanted to try a few different things and it was a great idea, with 5 dishes being just the right amount for two of us to share. Great quality food, order was ready for collection at the specified time, and portion sizes are generous.”
