“Had a flat tyre at lunch. Gave Abdul a call and the tyre was replaced before dinner prep even started. Although I do not think this will be anytime soon, I will ask for their service again if I run into another tyre issue.”

I’d done some research on the tyres I wanted and they confirmed they had them. All good. Dave, our friendly tyre fitter pinged at 8.30am saying he was here if we wanted to get started. Literally “Give me the keys. I’m all good for tea and coffee thanks, I’ll let you know when it’s done.” Tapped my card to pay once done. Simple. Top service from start to finish and price was the same as going to a tyre fitting garage miles away and hanging about for an hour.”

“Took my wifes Mercedes 9 years old to get the auxiliary battery changed and replacement brake pads. After they diagnosed the problem it was a capacitor that had failed which they then replaced, they happily dealt with the warranty company to ensure the works were covered. They also advised the brake pads did not require replacing, demonstrates how honest they are. All this was done within a day and my wife collected the car. She commented she received the same warm welcome I got and even commented how comfortable she felt dealing the the guys down there. They know how to put you at ease. The service they provided was better than the Mercedes dealership we normally use and they are good as you would expect for the prices you pay!!!. Unit Exchange are fantastic, the labour charge very fair and extremely good for the highly experience guys there. I would highly recommend this family run business, I am certainly going to be using them again.”

“Great service. Why buy online when Five Star will fit your new battery (and dispose of your old one) for close to the same price. They are still operating out of the premises on New Road, but if you're reading this in late 2023 I'd call and check as they might have had to move due to the horrendous amount of property development going on right around them. If they have moved, track them down as it will be worth it.”

I was there today with a large nail in my front tyre and I thought to myself, here goes another £250 :-( Then I am greeted by a lovely lady at reception, warm, friendly, welcoming but professional and works like a busy bee - answering phones, greeting customers, look to keep everything running - she is absolutely wonderful ! The tyre chap came back saying that they can actually fix the puncture and I did not nee to spend so much - what a relief ! The chap was on the ball and it did not take them 15 minutes to fix the tyre - one happy customer left that store.
