“Visited for the Japanese cheesecake initially and to introduce a friend to this place as they are more local than me. Loved the selection of hot/cold drinks. Sat in even shared a table with other visitors which I thought was so nice and brought back the good times where people actually converse! Carrot cake was divine it was moist and tasty. Was there so long sat to near closing time! The basement has a really nice ambience to it aswell I'd come back again.”

“I recently visited Kaldi Coffee and had an amazing English breakfast. The food was delicious, with perfectly cooked halal turkey bacon, sausages, and fresh eggs. The café also offers excellent coffee, smoothies, and milkshakes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making my visit very enjoyable. Overall, Kaldi Coffee is a fantastic spot for a great meal and drinks. Highly recommended!”

“As The Local has starting doing fresh food, we had done a catering order for a small gathering. The samosas, batatavada and khaman were really good. The flavours were like home made and the portions sizes were good. They also accommodate for the dietary requirements and manage to make food and delivery early on Sunday morning. Highly recommended.”

“Expected it to be like any other wine/alcohol shop. Was pleasantly surprised. Stock levels are massive. They have huge selections of every spirits both small batch and mass produced. They do also take custom orders for parties or one off bottles you’d like. Staff were incredibly helpful offering detailed opinions and personal preferences. Very inclusive and welcoming. Openly admitted “the salesman in me says buy the more expensive one. The drinker in me says to buy the cheaper one as you’d enjoy it more” which I find amazing! Gave me tips and pointers for the future. They do also have a very varied collection of hot sauce and BBQ sauce which I’m in love with. New selection every 1-3 months depending on demand. By far my favourite shop for alcohol and a chat!!”

“I had my eye on visiting this place for a while as it’s not far from home. I love craft beer. The gentleman at store was very knowledgeable about all the beers in the store. I told him what sort of beers I liked & he selected a bunch for me to try. I liked all the beers he recommended! Also, if you live within a certain radius of the store they will deliver for free for minimum order of £35.”

“What a gem of a shop! Visited for the first time today and was so impressed by the selection of wines and beers, and the ‘wine on tap’ option, whereby you bring your own bottle (or pick up a free empty bottle from the shop) and fill it with natural red or white wine. Such a lovely idea. We bought a beautiful bottle of rioja, and the chap who served us (he said he was the brother of the owner) was just so lovely. We don’t live within walking distance but we plan to make the trip back very soon - it’s truly an exceptional little place.”

“I don't know much about wine, so I asked if they could recommend some white wines that would go great with carbonara and a sweet desert, my budget was £20-£30 for each wine. They were patient, explained, and showed me some wines that would be great for either one. Ended up buying 2 wines for a total of £43, and they were absolutely perfect, we loved the flavours - unfortunately, i didn't take a picture of the bottles/makers. I'm not local to Highbury, but there are no wine specialists in my area, I'd happily make the trip again and again for wine recommendations for my next special evenings.”

“I had prawns as starter, then tbone steak with mushrooms sauce and sweet potato fries. The food was amazing, the staff super nice and professional, the atmosphere was nice. I am happy I finally had REAL food in London. I enjoyed my time there and I will go back again as soon as possible! Recommended 100% .”

“Great place! From the photos we were impressed by the selection of food that they offer and they didn’t disappoint. We did order the fried chicken burger which they did forget to deliver. However the lovely lady gave such good service and apologized for the inconvenience with a couple of free fruit punches. Our favourite item was the mac and cheese. UGH. Would definitely recommend. And the chicken burger too. UGH. The chicken was both tender and crispy. Overall the food was good and service was even better. Will be ordering again :)”

“Had my first Georgian food experience for birthday celebration and it made my day. We had Western Georgian salad, lamb shank, mushroom khinkali and pelamushi and they all taste good. Great service, quiet for chatting. Give it a go if you want to try Georgian cuisine.”

“I always have a relaxing time at Villiers. This is a cozy and laidback café, with a lot of different treats on offer that cater to a variety of diets. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. I was very appreciative that I could choose between a few flourless snacks. I’ve had the flapjack, the cheesecake, and the salted caramel brownie, all of which I enjoyed. Shoutout to the barista Anna, who always ensures that the gluten free goodies I get are handled safely so I can enjoy them without getting a reaction! The coffee is very good, and I can't complain when there's nice latte art. I don’t love that the latte is served in a glass instead of a mug, but that's more of a preference than a comment on the quality. It tastes great regardless! In short: very nice and recommend!”

“I went to this coffee shop few days ago, and ordered a cappuccino which was damn amazing. The latte art in that coffee was so good that I even took a picture of it. There was this guy named Parin who was a very good guy exceeding excellent hospitality to his customers. I recommend anyone and everyone to visit this coffee shop if you’re craving for fantastic coffee drinks.”

“I was not expecting it but this place blew me away. The smoothies were delicious and the full breakfast was a feast. I even went back the next day to try the fruit pancakes. When you think that all of that is even vegetarian, it's definitely a recommendation.”

“Is this the future of the British pub? I hope so! It's hard to find such a huge collection of ales and ciders anywhere in the UK. It's quite spacious for a 'micro', with plenty of seating and standing room. Very handy for Hornchurch FC on match days. Excellent!”

“I ordered 6 bottles of wine on 23rd December knowing I was unlikely to receive by Christmas but hoping for New Year. Tim offered to drop the wine off that evening, even though I do not live close to Cobham. I did not notice his email. But the wine still arrived by courier on Christmas Eve morning, only 18 hours from ordering. For a small company I think that’s wonderful. Above and beyond expectation.”

“This is everything you want from a steakhouse. Buzzing atmosphere, no bells and whistles, great staff, corkage and above all, top notch scran! The front-of-house lady was welcoming and warm. Our waiter for the evening, Phil, was fantastic all evening. The pigs head on toast was a nice warm up for the pallette, reminiscent of tender pulled pork and drizzled in that delightful Blacklock gravy. We brought a bottle 2018 Berry Bros and Rudd Zinfandel along with us (highly recommended with steak) and it was the cherry on top of our evening. The T-Bone chop was very nice. Although a little on the fatty side, it was cooked beautifully and tasted fresh. The grilled baby gems in anchovie dripping were quite nice but had a little fishy taste to it. The showstopper was the 600g prime rib steak. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, juicy, tender, and didnt even need a sauce. The green sauce and Blacklock gravy were fantastic sauces however. The chips were spot on, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yes the cheesecake is absolutely the go-to dessert here and it deserves such acclaim.”

“True gem! It’s hard to find places now days that don’t compromise quality for profit margins. Came here for the medi breakfast and also ordered the shaksuka. Ingredients were so fresh and great quality. Staff were so welcoming and attentive. Will be my regular spot for me going forward.”
