“Called up the cafe to ask if I could change something on the deliveroo sharing platter for 2, no trouble at all and the lady on the phone was polite (the most polite I’ve ever spoken too from a cafe) changing was no trouble. The food arrived piping hot, fresh, such a generous amount that it fed our daughter too. Will 1000% reccomend and order again, couldn’t even tell it was delivered was like eating in. “Really enjoyed the meal at the Reindeer cafe! They offer traditional canto style dishes at a very high standard. The charsiu was perfectly cooked with a good balance of fattiness and lean meat, with a subtle hint of sweetness from the honey. The roast duck was really tender and flavourful as well. The garlic choi sum was simple but delicious — well seasoned, not stiff or overcooked at all, and you can really taste the wok hei. Our highlight of the meal was the lamb hotpot, it was so tasty and the lamb literally just slides off the bone!! The portion size was generous so I’m glad that we brought some Tupperwares with us, wouldn’t want to waste any of this delicious food!! There’s a bakery in the cafe as well — we’ve particularly enjoyed the coconut peanut 糯米糍(mochi) and the egg tart. And oh! Don’t forget the milk tea too, which was made to perfection and perhaps even better than some of the 茶餐廳 I’ve been to in HK. Will definitely come back again for another meal!!”

“August 2024: We had an extremely pleasant stay in this hotel. We appreciated that our room had been fully refurbished and that our window was facing the smaller side street, not Edgware Road. Daily cleaning of room and change of towels, complimentary tea and coffee amenities, relatively big TV screen, very good bathroom. There is a staff member at the reception desk 24/7, and all the staff members were very friendly. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so we cannot say anything about that. The immediate area to the left of the hotel is very Arabic, that‘s true. But it did not bother us at all. To the right you take a few steps and are by the canal and in Little Venice. We recommend the bar Vagabond for wine or beer and the restaurant/ café boat Darcie & Mae Green for a drink in Little Venice in the evening and the 101 Church Street Café for budget-friendly and very good full English breakfast in "Little Beirut“. Update August 2025: Because we liked our stay so much last year, we decided to stay at the same hotel again for a couple of days in August 2025. We enjoyed our stay as much as we did last year. This time we booked it including breakfast. The breakfast was simple but really OK, especially considering the low costs. It is true that the Wi-Fi is not very good, but it didn‘t bother us.”

“The staff were very helpful and nice! The room was smaller than I expected, but it was clean. I really liked that the room had a tiny fridge and an electric water heater. The location is great! Close to Edgware road station, which allowed me to go to several touristic places easily. The restaurant options around the hotel are very diverse and I really enjoyed having close by foods from so many different cultures.”

We were treated so beautifully by every member of staff, some of the best service I’ve had in a while. Food was delicious, authentic, fresh ingredients but keeping the Italian simplicity. “I saw this shop online and went there and try their sandwiches which were very good especially the paneer tikka sandwich which was very good and their masala chips were very great which made me remind my childhood and their chai was also very good. “Lovely place with some of the best coffee I’ve had - intense flavour without the bitterness that a lot of the bigger coffee franchises have. Pastries+cakes looked really fresh and nice as well. Ambience is great, and the owner is highly invested and really kind to his staff. He designed everything himself, which I think is so impressive! A gem in the local area and deserves more recognition, don’t get your coffee anywhere else.”
