“Amazing food and great service. The 2 of us enjoyed a starter, king Prawns and calamari, and main course each, spaghetti with king Prawns and penne with salmon. All dishes presented beautifully and tasted delicious! Best Italian food compared to Zizzi and Pizza Express. Staff were friendly yet professional especially Melania who served us, always a smile on her face. Highly recommended and will definitely come again soon.”

“The receptionist as this dental practice goes out of her way to be helpful and friendly, whenever I need. I feel I can call any time when I have a dental problem and she immediately responds and finds the very best opportunity for me to see a dentist as soon as she can fit me in. She’s happy to hear all my diary issues and come up with a perfect solution for me to be able to fit in a dental appointment. On arrival, I be an always greeted with a lovely smile and she clearly and quickly talks me through all the forms I need to complete, making the visit painless in so many ways. Thank you!”

“Staying locally for work at the local studios. We found Paolo's on Google. Arrived, seen to very quickly. Lovely young lad serving us (Elli - shout out). The owner and his wife were in the restaurant. Very friendly, chatty, polite, courteous, accommodating and overall lovely. We had beers and wine to drink - no complaints, all good. Now on to the main subject matter: the food. Very good. Well above average. Recommendable. We are from London, so have eaten at many Italian restaurants. Paolo's is in the top 3 I can think of. What we had as outstanding, furthermore. We will likely go back again tonight. The bill was £130 for numerous starters, mains, sides and alcoholic drinks. Like I said; no complaints. Thanks for looking after us - see you again soon!!”

“Service was great, very nice/helpful staff. The food was very good, we had a Groupon for the afternoon tea and it's one of the best we've been to, I especially liked the salmon tataki sandwiches and the cheesecake, definitely recommend. Came back again for dinner and we had small plates, all of them were great. Especially liked the mushroom arancini and the crispy salmon tacos. The chicken bao bun was amazing too, would suggest if the bao could make 2 smaller ones instead of one large then easier to share.”

“Had one of the best pastries here - The Cruffin!!! Delicious and filled with cheese cake & available flavours - we had Blackberry. It was the best ever.... The staff are friendly and warm. Set near the Aldenham Country Farm, the cafe has warm indoor seating and a large tent, just like camping.”

“Stopped here for a solo dinner while working in the area — really glad I did. The owner (or manager) was very friendly and welcoming, and made sure I was well looked after. I had the mixed grill, which was excellent — generous portion with a great variety of meats to try, all cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The food overall was great and not terribly priced for the quality and portion size. A very enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely return next time I’m in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Turkish food and warm, friendly service.”

“Basil Lounge is the best experience for meeting up with friends, hanging out even on your own. It's Local and it's nice. You can bring your own alcohol because the place doesn't hold a drinks licence to sell alcohol but your welcome to bring your own. I don't think many people realise its a SHISHA lounge, if you know what shisha is then you know. They have many yummy shisha flavours and coals are topped up when needed. Go and you just might be a regular :).”

“I have been coming here for many years and they never disappoint, today the fish was so delicious. The only thing I would say I love the small crispy bits of chips at the bottom I guess it depends on how fresh the chips are.”

“Ordered for delivery for company meeting. Extremely friendly and helpful when ordering over the phone, and delivery was on time and the driver was very polite. Pizzas are delicious and excellent value. Strongly recommend the square pizzas for large orders, as they are great.”

“We came down here tonight, and had the tasting menu from the new chef, it was absolutely superb , second to none, hospitality from Joanna and her crew was out of this world. Do yourself a favour and get yourself down here this is the “Best pub food not only in Borehamwood, but in the whole area, if not, the world” The whole vibe of the place has changed since Joanna and her team have taken over this lovely old pub.”

“Fantastic men working here! It was raining like mad so me and a friend took shelter under the outside of the shop. As it got worse we were asked if we wanted to come in. The guys were so polite and lovely. The place is very clean and the guy cutting hair was doing an excellent job on his client. Thank you so much!”

“Check-in was quick and easy, but the real highlight for us was the pub. Kajal looked after us and she was honestly brilliant! Really friendly, easy to chat to, and just made us feel comfortable straight away. She kept checking in on us at the right times, made some great suggestions, and you could tell she genuinely cared that we were having a good time. It gave the whole evening such a nice vibe. Thanks to Kajal we had a really chilled, enjoyable night. We’ll definitely be back!”

“The mutton lamprais was absolutely delicious and so were the shorteats we tasted - lamb samosas and mutton rolls. The meat in the lamprais was exceptionally good, it was a generous portion and was very flavourful. We appreciate their outstanding customer service and the willingness to go that extra mile to deliver. We highly recommend them.”
