“Authentic Flavors and Great Value, But Service Needs Polish I recently dined at a local Pakistani restaurant in Watford and walked away thoroughly impressed by the quality and authenticity of the food. If you're searching for genuine subcontinental cuisine, this place truly delivers. The cooking here is genuinely delicious, carrying a depth of flavor that speaks to true authenticity. A major highlight of the meal was the naan bread; it arrived at the table piping hot and incredibly fresh—clearly baked moments before. Beyond the flavor, the value is exceptional. The portions are generous, meaning you get a satisfying, hearty meal without breaking the bank. Everything on the menu felt reasonably priced given the quality and size of what we received, making it a fantastic option for a weeknight dinner or a larger family gathering. The only small drawback was the service experience. While every member of the team we interacted with was polite and friendly, the staff generally need to be a bit more attentive. We often found ourselves waiting or having to flag someone down for things like drinks refills or clearing plates. Improving this small aspect of table service would elevate the dining experience significantly. Verdict: Highly recommended for food lovers and those who appreciate great value. The delicious, authentic meals and fresh naan make it a must-try; just be prepared to signal for service when you need it!”

“Have been coming to cafe hero for some time now and always get the best coffee be it white American (hot milk) , flat white white or mocha served by the lovely Elena and her new members of team Callista who recently has been taking my order and has met all expectations. They are very welcoming, customer friendly and hospitable but above all they serve the best coffee which will not disappoint. Look forward in seeing you both again next week…. “Pretty much ever since this place opened we've been meaning to visit and just never really got round to it. Recently we popped in for a quick lunch during some christmas shopping and my main take home is how annoyed I was at waiting so long to visit! We had a bao and dirty fries meal (with a drink) each - both less than a tenner each and so so good. The bao were fluffy with clearly freshly made ingredients (i had the short rib and my partner the fried chicken), both with portions of dirty fries (i had katsu and she had the vietnamese). The portions of fries alone would have made a meal and were so good. If you want fantastic food, freshly cooked and served quickly, at reasonable prices then I can't recommend this place more. My partner said she was really disappointed that we don't live local enough for somewhere like this to be available on a delivery app. Personally i was quite glad it wasn't close enough as i think we'd end up ordering from them several times a week1”

“I had a really good experience at Jamaica Blue in the Harlequin. The café has a nice atmosphere — modern, comfortable, and a bit different from the usual chains, which I appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my order was taken and prepared quickly. The coffee was excellent, rich and smooth, and the food I had was fresh and nicely presented. It’s a great spot to take a break while shopping, either to sit down properly or just grab something to go. Overall, everything felt easy, relaxed, and enjoyable. I’d happily come back.”
