“We live just up the road and thought it was a greasy spoon. How wrong we were. Poached is a postage stamp size gourmet breakfast restaurant. The menu is innovative. The service is warm and friendly. That totally know their coffee (fresh roasted beans on sale here too). A delightful place for breakfast (and probably lunch too. As a bonus they have a live train times board and do takeaways. 5 stars all the way.”

“The staff were very lovely, they worked with a smile on their face which was refreshing. The room was clean, bedding towels, bathroom etc. The heater was easy to work and warmed up the room relatively quickly. The only thing missing was a hairdryer which was disappointing.”

“Absolutely fantastic food at miso everytime. Always Fresh, and good sized portions. Staff always friendly. I also left my wallet there on a previous visit and the man drove to my house to return it! “This is a no nonsense sports bar and the only one in Beckenham (the others are masquerading as sports bars - no sound on TVs and pushchairs everywhere). The bar staff are brilliant and work hard, plenty of big screens with different sport catered for. I’m delighted to be kept safe by management taking security seriously..”

“Had superb vegetarian focaccia (mozzarella, sun-dried tomato, aubergine, olives). Cooked to perfection, crispy outside, melty inside. Generous portion and very reasonable prices. They also sell authentic Italian products - pasta, oils, pasta sauces. Also delicious looking cakes, which I didn't try, as focaccia was substantial! Friendly, helpful staff.”

“I pop in whenever I’m in Beckenham, usually just for a drink. My last visit was impromptu and decided to have something to eat. What I really like about this place it’s exactly how a pub should be. It’s clean, comfortable with a good selection of drinks. The staff are all so friendly and make you feel welcome. Proper pub food, done really well and exceptional value for money. Great to see a traditional pub still thriving. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone!”

The food was excellent – fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was delicious and clearly made with care. The service was outstanding. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel very well looked after, which made the celebration even more special. A perfect place for birthdays and special occasions. “Pizzeria San Vito is a great spot! The pizza is delicious with super fresh ingredients and a perfect crust. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. Also the place is really clean and has a nice, relaxed vibe. Highly recommend if you’re craving quality Italian food!”

“This is a busy park cafe. The coffee is very good and on our last visit my son had a huge almond Croissant which was exceptional. We have never had a meal but the menu is varied and what I have seen served looks very appetising. Finally the staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit in my opinion.”

“Today, Monday a fantastic experience. I took advantage of my day off to enjoy dinner without the chaotic stress of a Friday or Saturday night at Moon Lounge in Beckenham. In addition to enjoying a romantic atmosphere inside this restaurant, I also took advantage of a generous discount. Excellent staff and service, tidy and clean room and bathroom. Different and very well furnished environments based on the type of evening organised, I chose the restaurant room with a Japanese theme, fantastic. I tried many dishes on the menu (see photo) and the food was excellent, varied and tasty beyond my expectations. The two of us paid 100 pounds but with the food we ordered, 4 or even 5 people would have eaten. For people who like to eat well and without stress, I recommend this restaurant in the first few days of the week, I would go at the weekend just to drink and have some appetizers with friends.
