“My 1st visit was November 24 and somehow I got mixed feelings for this place. After reading good reviews and that they have been rewarded one of the best when I went there felt a little disappointing. Stuff were absolutely chaotic and shouting to one another not paying attention to clients. The menu was missing many meals who can you have a fish section and only serve prawns and no other fish. I ordered keema naan and it was crispy and had like a blob of meat in the middle. Most of the food I eat in other places is far better. The atmosphere with this blue light is blinding.”

“I was already a big fan of this restaurant - the tapas is excellent - and was interested to try their Sunday roast. I went on the first day of this new menu and, quite simply, LOVED it! There were a few nibble type starters available - olives, padron peppers, almonds, bread. We had the sourdough bread - this came toasted with an alioli sauce - very tasty! The main course choices were beef, chicken, lamb cutlets or a vegan wellington. We had the chicken and lamb - both were served with roast potatoes, roasted carrots, parsnips, broccoli, yorkshire pudding and gravy. All superbly seasoned and delicious! Good portion size too. We didn’t have desserts, but saw others tucking into cheesecake and churros. Next time! The staff were fantastically welcoming as always! Laura, kept saying words to the effect of “It’s our first day doing this…” - no need to justify anything Laura, you’ve already aced this! Pricing is well pitched - £19 - £21 per person for main course, depending on your choice of meat. Well done Laura, Danny and, of course, the brilliant Spanish chef, Freddy! Already booked to go back next week!”

“My friends & I went to this superb restaurant for lunch today. I have been here on numerous occasions. It never dissappoints! . My friends loved it. VIV’s new favourite. I had mussels and skate for main. Vegetables cooked to perfection. I could go on and on how good this restaurant is. Looking forward to coming back soon. 5⭐️+”

“Here, just in the centre of the village of Downe, we have the most lovely country pub you can imagine, with a good range of real ales, an amazing garden out back with several different areas, a delicious and affordable food menu, and just a short walk away from Charles Darwin's house. What more could you want. It's situated right next door to the village church, which is where the hourly TfL bus 146 from Bromley terminates, and the R8 also calls. Definitely worthy of a visit in itself.”

This has become my go-to spot for Asian food. If you’re craving something comforting, flavorful, and reliable, look no further – this takeaway truly deserves all 5 stars ! “Visited for the first time this week for a birthday celebration. Booked a table through Google, easy and convenient. The mezes we had were really good, everyone enjoyed them. Almost all of them came with pitta bread. When it came to mains I had veggie spaghetti and was pretty blant, mostly consisting mashrooms and not very tasty ones, would not recommend. My other half had grill and he enjoyed it. My girls had plain spaghetti and soup of the day- tomato soup. Service was attentive and friendly. Didn't have dessert as cake was waiting at home. Atmosphere was very nice and welcoming.”

“Absolute little gem in Green Street Green. Had 4 lunches this week and loved every single one. Menu is so different from all the rest of the other cafés. Plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Had a different dessert every day, felt spoilt for choice. The best carrot cake I've ever eaten, and the blondie and the brownie... My partner had not fried, but baked big breakfast and absolutely LoVe it. Noticed owner knew his customers by name, very special for me. And the coffee is indeed the best. We will miss not working in the area and getting fed by Belmondo”

There was a small delay with the food being served at that particular time due to a wake being held in another private room but we were kept informed and apologies were offered. Would recommend The Chelsfield Arms.”

A very busy Sunday afternoon, but the food was delicious I had the duck which was divine hubby had roast chicken (as they had sold out of the beef, it did look delicious and we would have ordered that for the 3 of us, hopefully next time), roast potatoes were a little hard and the roast pork was dry. Pistachio souffle was superb. The service was very, very good. Friendly, polite and engaging.”

“What a lovely cosy place , perfect for families. Visited them with my family for a dinner. Staff was courteous and they don’t push meals on you. You can relax and enjoy your food in luxury of your time. We loved all what we order right from drinks , tapas , mains and sundaes . Fired chicken with Bombay spices was extraordinary and I loved the bang bang chicken with noodles the most. Will revisit soon. Thanks”

“Had such a gorgeous lunch here yesterday for my sisters birthday. There were 14 of us including 5 feral children and the waiting staff were all so patient and lovely. Particular shout out to our main waiter Tom who was absolutely amazing, so helpful and smiley and never made us feel like a pain! Nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely, big portions and nice quality. The play area is of course great for the kids. Will definitely be back - thank you!”

“First visit and what a great first impression. Lovely food and atmosphere, service was exceptional. Visited with a friend for a lunch and both really happy with lunch menu. For starters we had mushroom crostini and bruschetta, for main veggie lasagna and chicken pasta. For desert we both chose cream brule. All was lovely and felt well looked after. “Managed to get a last minute booking for Sunday lunch and how happy I was that we did. From the minute we arrived and were welcomed, by Joel our waiter, the experience just got better and better. Joel was lovely and so good with the children as well. Advised us on food options and very courteous and friendly. And the roast dinner was just amazing, I had lamb rump, 2 of us had the trio of roast and 1 had the pie of the day. Food was absolutely great, best roast dinner I have had for years. Will be back.”
