Did the 6 week beginners course and I wasn’t particularly fit beforehand but everyone was so lovely and you build up strength really quickly! My trainer, Jai, was incredibly lovely and encouraging! Had the best time and will definitely be back!”

“Skylark is an exceptional ballet school - i have danced for years and both I and my 13 year old daughter attend lessons here. The teaching is very high quality and they set demanding standards, but unlike a lot of ballet schools for children (this is the 4th I tried for my daughter) they are equally welcoming and accommodating to children who are shy and awkward. There is no pressure to perform if you don’t want to - and if you want to challenge yourself they are with you all the way.”

I've been going to adult beginners ballet classes for a while (Waterloo and dance buzz) and this is definitely my favourite so far because of the teacher, class size and variety of activity.”

“I took a three hour masterclass on turns with Gee and it was so much fun! She teaches in a really approachable way and gives really doable feedback and corrections. She will adhere the corrections to you dancing level as well, which is great because I'm coming in as a beginner level after many years away from dance. The studio space at The Place was very large as well with natural light and a mirrored wall so it was ideal for the large class size we had. I can't wait to take another class with London Ballet Classes!”

She always tailors her classes to her students and their level, if needed she will show a simpler and a harder version of a pole move so everyone can feel comfortable trying. She is patient and optimistic so you feel that you can progress with time and no pressure. The other trainer I have had is Xenia who has been just as professional. She is always encouraging and friendly. She helps you learn moves you have seen and always cheers on you when you try something new. Overall, Torus pole dance is a great place to spend your time after a stressful day. It helps you grow, learn and become more confident in yourself. It teaches you to trust your instincs and enjoy the process of learning new pole moves while becoming your best pole dancer self.”

“My daughter has been dancing with Adagio School of Dance for 7 years and loves it!! She is 12 years old and spends most days at the dance school, doing ballet,tap, modern, contemporary and hip hop. The new dance facilities are fantastic, with several studios and also a homework room (!),and the school offers many genres of dance for both children and adults. The teachers have an exemplary background in dance and are enthusiastic, encouraging and supportive of their pupils. There is a real sense of family spirit, and the children of all ages get on well together. There is a bi-annual show in which the children are encouraged to perform and take part. This is always a spectacular and "not-to-be-missed" event and I am certainly looking forward to the next one in May this year!”

“Select is a fantastic dance school and Lauren has created a wonderfully warm, inclusive environment for both her children and her adult dancers. I've been going to her adult tap class for years and Lauren creates some amazing choreography to really get the best out of all her students, no matter their age or ability. It's a highlight of my week and a fantastic bunch of fellow dancers too. Lauren was also so welcoming to my daughter, who was feeling quite nervous about joining the ballet class, but Lauren has a wonderful way with the children and really knows how to put them at ease. The kids clearly love it at Select, which is reflected in the incredible dance shows they put on each year. Highly recommend.”
