Delicious dinner in Beckenham

“Too the wife and daughter for her birthday, booked in advance on their website, which was easy, and got a confirmation same day. Saturday evening was very busy. The atmosphere was nice , the service was very good and the food was hot, fresh tastie and very filling , and they don't automatically add service charge to the bill”

“We live just up the road and thought it was a greasy spoon. How wrong we were. Poached is a postage stamp size gourmet breakfast restaurant. The menu is innovative. The service is warm and friendly. That totally know their coffee (fresh roasted beans on sale here too). A delightful place for breakfast (and probably lunch too. As a bonus they have a live train times board and do takeaways. 5 stars all the way.”

“I’ve been here several times now since its recent opening. It’s a pretty looking place with a good selection of food both savoury and sweet. Staff are welcoming and you don’t feel pressured to leave. All in all a good local cafe to go to either with friends or alone”

“I had had a busy day about in Bromley and arrived early from that to a reservation I'd made that day for early dinner (18:15). Prices were properly reasonable for such fine dining. The presentation of each course was spot on, I'd even say en place, buuuuut not my element at this time. The maître d' was professional and courteous. I felt a bit under-dressed but braved through and they brought no attention to this and treated me. At some spirit auguery advice, my royal self reluctantly avoided steak this evening, going instead from chef's suggestion menu, the seared scallops and then sea bass. The scallops were grilled, and tender rather than rubbery as I sometimes 'expect' of scallop. I'd had some grilled halloumi around lunch tiem, and joked that scallops would be right out to pair with halloumi. I think there is this. The sea bass were served seared with skin on, and a sweet tomato salsa, with a potato tower of some kind. Service were quiet and excellent. I did not once feel rushed and I NEEEEED to return for some côte de boeuf or rib-eye some day soon. This should be written. I'll be needing dress better suited. Egg fried veg rice very nice and a good black bean tofu veg; no chillies which my partners happy with. The crispy chicken wings i found so delicious and beef chow mein lots meat! Yum! “Ordered food from here a few times and I've never been disappointed. We've either gone there in person and ordered takeaway or ordered online for delivery. Every time the food has been faultless, loved the octopus and the unagi. Large choice of dishes. Prices a little above average but definitely worth it. We usual order a mixed sashimi set, a mixed sushi set and a couple of other dishes and for two of us it's more than enough. Last time we ordered via deliveroo, took about 30 minutes. The staff are always helpful and friendly.Definitely worth trying the food here.”

“Today, Monday a fantastic experience. I took advantage of my day off to enjoy dinner without the chaotic stress of a Friday or Saturday night at Moon Lounge in Beckenham. In addition to enjoying a romantic atmosphere inside this restaurant, I also took advantage of a generous discount. Excellent staff and service, tidy and clean room and bathroom. Different and very well furnished environments based on the type of evening organised, I chose the restaurant room with a Japanese theme, fantastic. I tried many dishes on the menu (see photo) and the food was excellent, varied and tasty beyond my expectations. The two of us paid 100 pounds but with the food we ordered, 4 or even 5 people would have eaten. For people who like to eat well and without stress, I recommend this restaurant in the first few days of the week, I would go at the weekend just to drink and have some appetizers with friends.
