What made the evening even more special was the thoughtful surprise: they went out of their way to prepare on our lovely dessert, a special anniversary decoration. “Really nice weekend away here. The rooms are nice and spacious. Location is really nice, about 10-15 mins drive to bluewater shopping center & lakeside shopping center - so plenty to do for couples/family. The swimming pool/jacuzzi and sauna was really nice, we enjoyed going down for a swim when it wasn't too busy. We did go on a weekend so it was quite busy at times. Room service & bar was nice. Overall the room loses one star personally because the lighting was a bit dark and the bed quite firm. Everything else was perfect during our stay.”

“Value for money, have stayed twice in recent months as a stop en route Eurotunnel and will stay again. Rooms appear recently redecorated/carpeted. Comfortable bed. Strong shower and decent towels. Friendly welcome at reception. Dog friendly. Easy 10-15 minutes walk to the Wharf, good bar/restaurant.”

“I had breakfast here on a busy Saturday. I asked to sit in for a couple of hours whilst my wife, daughter and her friends shopped as a birthday treat. The manager (Nadine) found me a quiet table in the corner with a nearby power supply as I mentioned I wanted to do some work. They genuinely couldn’t have been any more helpful and I didn’t feel any pressure to vacate the table at any point. All the staff (including Abbie & Rahmi) who looked after me were great, can’t thank them enough.”

“We ordered a takeaway roast at the weekend and it was the best decision we've made! Lol. It was absolutely fabulous and one of the best roasts I've had in a long time. We were so grateful to be able to take it away and enjoy it whilst our toddler was napping. The member of staff we spoke to on the phone was so kind and helpful. We collected our roast with no problems and just about had a big enough plate to put it on as the portion size was fantastic. The whole roast was spot on - lovely turkey/beef, tasty veg and cauliflower cheese. Thank you so much. We'll definitely be ordering again and happy new year! It was so good I nearly cried hahaha.”

“Had the festive menu and the food took a little longer than expected but Charlee was fab at updating us and ensuring we were comfortable and if we needed anything else. We were sat in the conservatory which was cold and the food took longer than necessary but the food was adequate. Made better only by the millionaires fodue dessert.”

“We had a lovely evening for my son’s 25th birthday. Our table for 6 was set up by the window as requested. From the moment we arrived we had a warm welcome and service levels were excellent. My sons lamb shank madras was in his words “probably the best meal he has ever had” (highly recommended ) if you are not sure about what to have the family owners will always suggest a dish to try, even making bespoke dishes too. The icing on the cake is you can bring your own alcoholic drinks with no corkage added, they even put them in the fridge for you and bring the glasses.”
