“Have finally find a great place for English breakfast after looking for a while. I am in my late 70's and my appetite is not what it used to be, sadly. I don't want a large breakfast, just a quality one. Thankfully the Grumpy Goose allows me to choose from the extras so I can choose exactly want I want and not waste food. I particularly like the fact that they offer back bacon and not just streaky or pancetta which seems the norms these days. All perfectly cooked, well presented and delicious.”

“Visited the Ramblers Rest pub for Father’s Day and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. It’s also a dog-friendly pub, which was a huge plus as we brought our dog along and she was made to feel just as welcome! For food, I had the king prawns to start, the beef roast for my main, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, every single dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!”

“Well well well what can I say about this place... Hidden Gem... Faultless and Amazing.. Cannot speak highly enough... Service 5 stars... Personable, catered for dietary requirements without fuss.... very good attention to detail and a great amount of charisma fills this small restaurant. Food.. Exceptional, Epic, Excellent. The pork belly sensational, the lamb chop great quality and cooked to perfection... The sushi and shashimi was fresh and there was some great combinations. We had the Full Moon tasting menu which is £30 and worth every penny... The portions were great filled up 4 men with strong appetites... So glad I have found this place... Cannot wait till next time...”

“I honestly never expected to eat so well in a small restaurant in a little-known street in Croydon. After leaving Gatwick airport, I searched on Google Maps for a Japanese restaurant near me that was open until 10pm, I found this one, I was very lucky. I made a big order because we were very hungry. I tried everything and I was very satisfied, especially the fried food. The place is small but well organized and clean, the service was excellent. Absolutely recommended.”

“Amazing service from this friendly take away. With an allergy its always nerve wracking, but here you can state allergens in each item. The chefs adapt most of the dishes for gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian. The dishes come fully labelled even with allergens (all printed which makes things very clear) The food was exceptional and very reasonably priced.”

“I come here every week whilst my puppy has hydrotherapy next door, such a lovely cafe. Have had the full english, Buddha bowls (if I’m remembering the name correctly) and also the jacket potatoes. They also have paninis. Doggy friendly as well and the ladies that work here are always cheerful. The food is made fresh and is so good! There is something for everyone. “I went in on Saturday for a pre-football brunch. The place was lively, the service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was top-notch, the eggs beans and bubble were delicious. And we got a 2-2 draw,, which was a great result.”

“Big shout out to George and his team at the Caterham Arms. We had a 40th birthday party at the Caterham Arms last week and what a great night we had. George went out of his way to accommodate us, Paul cooked the best party food we've ever had and the bar staff were fantastic. Thank you all. We would highly recommend having a function here.”

“We moved to Coulsdon with our family 3 weeks ago and had the chance to try BUZZ Café & Kebab. Previouslyy we had bought from the kebab shop at the entrance of the high street also opposite Aldi one, but the taste of the doner and kebabs here is completely different.They have a parking space infront the shop. The meat was soft and all the sinews were removed. We ordered fir 4 adults and 3 children 2 small doners, 1 half pounder with cheese, 2 large chicken, 1 lovely iskender, 1 adana kebab plus chips, rice drinks. They offered free drinks and hummus on the house. Their homemade garlic and hot sauce were excellent taste. Everyone in the family enjoyed it very much :-)). They also gave lollipops to the kids which was a lovely touch.They have very nice sitting are but we did not try their cafe yet but we will soon. The portions are larger compared to other places, and they offer 2 different types of wrap bread which is a nice option. Their homemade rice and salads were also very fresh and tasty. We always pay attention to hygiene while using the restroom, I had a look at the kitchen. It was clean. I even noticed one of the chefs dropped tongs on the floor and discreetly replaced them with a clean one. The young staff were neat and polite. In short, BUZZ Café & Kebab is a clean, generous and delicious placee where families can eat with confidence in Coulsdon for us. Highly recommended.”

“Popped in for a quick bite with family. Staff made a fuss of the kids which as a parent is always good. Was served by Charlie. Knew his stuff and was able to talk is through allergens. Nice atmosphere, decent music. Return today for a quick bite between meetings. And well, still the same good atmosphere and food was on point as always. Can take a while as some others posted but in my opinion, what an extra 5 minutes wait if it comes cooked right.”
