“My sister and I did the one day shadowing course and it was a terrific experience! We got to meet and safely handle a variety of birds, understand their personalities, and generally learn about the tradition of falconry. It was a full day and the team took care of us throughout. “Try to go on one of the “steam days” when they have the giant steam engines working. The engines are a similar type and size to those used in the titanic. There’s a nice cafe inside and places to sit. Lots of informative displays dotted about the place. There is plenty of parking. Buy tickets in advance for busier days. In the same area is the waterworks steam railway.”

“My son had a great day out here, he loved the animals and they all looked well cared for. The play areas were all set out over the whole place was wasn't busy. Even during the summer holiday break. He loved climbing high. The water pillows were fun. Although a lot of adults used them as sun beds. The had a paint run and foam party event which was also enjoyed. My only gripe was that you had to book for under or over 5s yet over 5s were allowed in with there under 5 siblings. So it got a little busy and pushy towards the younger ones, as everyone wanted to get closer to where the foam was coming from. The inside soft play was huge and thoroughly enjoyed. Over all was a great day and would likely return.”

There is a really large open space for dog walking, running or sunbathing etc and a track around its edging where a lot of people ride bikes. The children's play area is great. My son loves it. It gad swings, slides and climbing frames for all ages. Definitely worth a visit. It gas a friendly vibe and there is always kids to interact with”

“Nice space to play and workout. Use the workout area and it’s usually pretty quiet when I go there. The zip line in the play area is fun and my daughters enjoyed coming here when they were younger. The path going through is nice and it’s a great spot for a picnic too. Nice amount of wildlife and blackberries bushes are currently in flower. Pretty!”
