“Excellent restaurant. Had lamb chops with saag bahji, started with prawn puri, all very good. Chops massive, but could've done with a bit more seasoning, in saying that, they were lovely. Very busy on a Saturday evening, with repeat customer's and take away orders Highly recommended. Paul”

“I am 60 and currently employed in Legal Services by Enfield Council and for the last couple of months have stayed over 2 days a week. I live in south Manchester and there are numerous local pubs but none as good as The Kings Head. The staff are incredible as is the Landlady and could not have been more friendly and the locals are the same. Quite simply one of the finest public houses I have ever been to and I have certainly been to many this last 42 years or so all around the country.”

“This is my go to place for authentic African food, you can tell it was made with love! The owner is EXTREMELY KIND! and welcoming which made the whole experience truly special, showing genuine care for my satisfaction. Her attentiveness created a personal touch that made my meal even more enjoyable. It’s clear she takes great pride in her restaurant and providing excellent customer service. The suya was incredibly flavourful, with a perfect balance of spices, I also loved the jollof with plantain and spicy turkey bites. Despite being a takeout order, the food was well-packaged and arrived hot. when I placed my order the staff were efficient. Overall, a fantastic experience and I highly recommend their delicious food!”

“First time I've been here. Staff are genuinely friendly, warm and helpful. They have a smile to greet you and eye contact which I think is lacking in most places. Food a step above the normal brunch. Bacon and sausages good quality and poached eggs perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place.”

“I didn't go here to eat so I'm not sure about the food, but let me tell you about the atmosphere. It was UB40 tribute night. Wow!! What a great night, dancing and great people who made us all feel welcome. “Aksular was absolutely delightful! The spread was generous and beautifully presented from freshly baked simit and warm bread to rich cheeses, olives, honey with clotted cream, and a perfectly brewed Turkish tea. Every bite was full of authentic flavors that transported me straight to Turkey. The menemen (scrambled eggs with tomato and pepper) was especially delicious and creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The staff (Hatice) was very welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The cozy atmosphere and vibrant dishes made for a relaxing and satisfying morning. If you love hearty, flavorful breakfasts, I can’t recommend Aksular enough!”

My mum and I have visited Crews Hill at Christmas time for the past 10 or so years and have always finished off the day's shopping at the garden centres by having a well deserved dinner at the Plough. Staff were friendly and the food was excellent. My burger (cheese and bacon) was cooked to perfection! Chips were fantastic too. I also had the side of onion nests which I can highly recommend. Will be back again next year!”

“Staying locally we have visited this venue a few times with our children and 2 dogs. A very friendly, welcoming fun place that has a fantastic atmosphere. Due to refurbishing the kitchen, food was not available. However, the pub owners recommended, adjacent is a barge boats on the canal "Baltic Seafood" where we could purchase food and bring back to the pub to enjoy. The TV was showing live sport and we al enjoyed playing a game of darts too.”

“Great service food was delivered fast and efficient within 30 minutes of order. When the food arrived it was fresh absolutely delicious. Price also reasonable. Portions were great was really filling and we will defo be ordering again. It was tasty too and didn’t feel greasy but full of Flavour . The only thing I was hoping for prawn crackers but these didn’t come free like the average Chinese and was missed these from our meal so order them if you want :)”
