“I found this little place almost by chance-and I just LOVED it. The food was amazing (price was also very low and portions enormous!), the perfect balance between spice and sour (I had their fermented flat bread with 3 different daals and 2 veggie sides). The owner is the sweetest person ever and it is more than clear that this is not a job for him, but a passion. The place is tiny (which is a pro-makes it cozier!) and super welcoming, with decor that makes you truly feel jumping into the Ethiopian culture! They offered me their typical spice tea: a must have! Just a very lovely experience, absolutely recommended if you love simple and authentic things.”

Also a younger man came into shop who had just signed up to play bowls- it was lovely that another assistant didn't push him into buying a brand new set of woods and recommended a second hand set to start with. “What a wonderful place to go to if you require an assistance friendly staff is there to help. I go there a lot for my dad’s regular prescriptions and I also buy vitamins from time to time or healthy food. Generally good atmosphere, great choice , helpful staff ready to advise in friendly manner. I’d like to highlight lovely staff Tulshi, who assisted us with blood pressure 24/7 monitor and results . We will probably get delivery next time. The food was delicious and this is why...in our opinion...it was not sitting in lots of sauces (each dish) it was not soggy. It was not full of monosodium glutamate. So, food tasted good and we were thirsty all night! Noodles, beansprouts and meat was crispier and not covered in sauces. Food was good portion sizes and under £20 for four dishes. Finally, premises looked clean and they are rated well for cleanliness.”

“We took this venue for a private hire and it was incredible. Guests got to choose from the menu even though we were 60 plus people. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Food was great, generous portions and good mix on the menu. Bottomless drinks were plentiful with rarely an empty glass. Great communication throughout. Highly recommended”

“Convenient and centrally located supermarket. Bright, clean and well laid-out (better than when it used to be Budgens). Not the cheapest place to shop but products are reliably good quality; and there's rarely a queue at the self-service checkouts which makes it quick and efficient. One bugbear is that it's only open until 10pm so it's often already closed by the time I realise I want to buy something (cue a sprint to the Tesco petrol station on the road to St Giles, which operates till 11pm!) But apparently I'm in a minority of folk wanting to make purchases at that hour, since I'm seemingly often the sole customer on my 9:50pm visits.”
