“Family favourite! We've been coming here for years and the food has always been good. We highly recommend the Lamb Shank Jalfrezi and the Tandoori King Prawn. But all the food is very good. We really appreciate that since the pandemic they haven't raised their prices and the food is still great quality. The service is always very good and thoughtful too. We will always rave about The Agra!”

“Used to come here occasionally as a child growing up in the 70s/80s. Moved back to Surbiton with my own family several years ago and was so happy to see they were still going strong. Have been coming here ever since. Dishes taste fantastic, quality is consistent, prices are very reasonable, preparation is fast and staff are friendly. Tried other Chinese takeaways in the area but none of them come close. A real jewel. Bravo, guys.”

““I had the absolute pleasure of trying the Persian pizza at Village Pizza in Surbiton, and it was truly outstanding. This pizza took me straight back home with its nostalgic flavors and that special touch that only authentic Persian-style pizza can bring. The service was equally fantastic—especially the lady behind the counter, who I believe is the owner. She made the whole experience warm and welcoming. I can’t recommend Village Pizza enough if you’re looking for a delicious slice of something special. Five stars all the way!””

“A proper coffee house which has very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They can tell you where the coffee is sourced (all of it is Colombian), the story behind the location & the processes undertaken. They actually roast all of their beans in house which gives it a very fresh and flavourful taste. The staff will help you identify what beans that would suit your coffee choice best, I.e americano, flat white etc. Really recommend visiting the cafe to sit in or take coffee for your commute from Berrylands. They also offer various pastries and snacks etc to complement your choice. I feel like that this is an independent cafe not to be missed, with expertise and flavours which will not be found at a local chain coffeehouse!”

“Just stopped on a Friday lunchtime to have some pizzas, they were delicious, on par with pizzas we’ve had in Italy, the best pizza we’ve had so far in surbiton/london! Highly highly reccomend!! The staff were lovely and welcoming; will definitely be returning and telling my friends about it! So lovely!”

“What a wonderful little restaurant! Despite having very high expectations due to all the great reviews, my family and I were still surprised at how great this place was. The sashimi pieces were lovely and thick, their signature rolls were delicious but our favourite was the udon (unfortunately not pictured as we were too busy slurping it up!)- the noodles were cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this place for the delicious food and the lovely attentive staff!”

“It was our first time here. My mum who complains about all types of places we visit for food said the food is "excellent". We loved the food and the portion sizes are huge!! Nicely decorated for Halloween, restaurant has a nice ambience. Staff are really friendly. Everything was wonderful. Thank you, we will visit again!”

“Wow, the most delicious feta mini quiche ever! What a find! So much to choose from beautifully presented sweet and savory produce too. Lovely smiling staff. A wonderful surprise find for morning coffee with "pastries". Good value for money and quick service. We ate in, relaxing at the window bar seating, happily watching the rain! “Disability accessible. Ground floor entrance. Toilets on the ground floor. Staff welcoming and excellent hosts, they were very attentive and we felt well cared for.. Clean and well organised. The food is fresh, delicious, and has a good portion. We had more than we could manage, and they provided takeaway trays so we could take it home. There are lots of options for vegetarians. They will also tailor your curry to your taste, i.e., add chillies, make it more spicy or hot for you. The best bit was the trays that were provided with the poppadoms. The variety of choices and flavours were really good. Best chutneys and presentation ever. The restaurant is on the main road with bus stops, which is good. They provide takeaways and plenty of seating for cosy small tables or large groups. We went early so and it was not full but it got busier as the evening went on. One thing I like is to listen to is Indian music, which adds to my experience of the culture and atmosphere. However, the music was cheesy pop like Taylor Swift, but it was not distracting. Thank you for the complimentary liquor and chocolates at the end of our meal.”

“A little gem. Went here last night very friendly nice lady serving us we decided to have the Korean hot pot as we had never tried before and sounded really nice. We had to move tables as all are not equipped with heat for the hot pot but it wasn’t an issue. The food came quick and tasted absolutely delicious. On top of that it was pretty good value for money. A nice little place with nice staff and amazing food what more could you ask for. Will definitely be going back.”

“Really glad I have finally tried this shop after being a customer for many years in another kebab shop just down the road but has deteriorated in the last couple of years. Ace Kebabs are absolutely fantastic, great service, excellent telephone manners, efficient, competitively priced and super tasty. The kebabs here are juicy, which was drizzled in chilli and garlic sauce on request. This is now my new favourite local takeaway. Thanks guys!”

“Surprisingly excellent Bangladeshi restaurant in this neck of town. Each morsel was exquisitely cooked and prepared. Of particular note, the chicken tikka was divine. The restaurant has a fresh vibe and was very welcoming. The service was good, and helpful and the managers /owners were on hand to ensure things ran smoothly. Highly recommended if you're in this area.”
