“A very good shop! You can find nearly everything you need for home from cooking tools to gardening stuff. Quite a lot of useful things like air fryers and baking dishes. The staff is also nice. Always go there if I need anything!”

“I've finally managed to stop biting my nails after 40 years of trying and went here with some friends to get my nails done properly and painted. My fingers had a lot of bite damage around the edges when I went there, and my nails were not much better. However, I came out of there with nails looking brand new, shiny, and almost all of the damage has been cleared up. My nails look smashing, so smooth, and a deep shade of blue. Very impressed, highly recommend, definitely did a top job. Accidentally got gel nails, which will take some effort to get off, but it's been about 4 days and my nails still look as good as they did in the shop.”

“My favourite ironmonger. Everything is well laid out, the shop is always spotless and gleaming, the prices are marked and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. I have been coming here for cleaning products, lubricating oils, paints, tools, lamps, lights, bulbs, wicks, naphtha, chimney flue cleaners, fixtures, fittings and batteries - probably more stuff than that which I've forgotten . . . like really, really long matches! Anyway, a great shop, a great place to shop and a great way to shop - I'd never get the same service on-line.”

“My bulb in my car needed replacing. As Halfords was so close to my work I popped in during my lunch break. Everyone had obviously had the same idea. It was busy, however the staff were so helpful and professional and organised. Sam the colleague who dealt with me was lovely, helpful and reassuring. “Good ole Waitrose. Got everything you need albeit I don’t do my full weekly shop there. Grab a few bits and a free coffee and always good service from the staff. Highlights for me are Fish Friday, bakery discount in the evenings, wine selection and top quality meats and veg for when you are cooking something special.”

“East Barnet's oldest continental supermarket. A riot of foods under on roof. Olives, flatbreads, fruit and veg, meat and oil. One of the reasons I bought a gas barbecue (at which they'd sneer!). Try the kofta mince.”

“I have been going here for several years now and I love it. Anna cuts and colours my hair. I love her attention to detail where the colour is concerned, always discussing my needs beforehand and then making sure I'm happy with it afterwards. She offers really good advice too with regards to both colour and cut. The team are all lovely and friendly and there's a great cup of coffee. I highly recommend this salon.”

“Went in on 25.02.2025 to have a punctured tyre fixed. The gentleman informed me that a small puncture can be fixed without replacing the tyre and the two prices. Having looked at the tyre and its condition, he told me that's better to replace than fixed. I had a looked qt the tyre and agreed with him. I asked him to at my other tyre (both rear) and it was as bad as the other even though the threads looks good. It's the split along the groove and ruts that told me to have it changed. He did not pressure me to change at any one time. A frank honest man!”

Both nail technicians are friendly and professional, they have made me feel very comfortable and welcome when I turn up and on many occasions have even left the shop late just to accommodate to the needs of myself and many other customers.
