“Cafe run by charity Mencap - fantastic initiative to give people with learning disabilities the chance to learn skills in catering, customer services and hospitality. I have never eaten there but just had a quick coffee / kids snacks - it doesn't feel that warm and cosy to me, so I've never been tempted to linger too long. My suggestion would be to remove the PCs and introduce some sofas and perhaps some toys or games. Not sure how feasible that would be!”

“I've just had the chance to try one of the feta cheese "rogche" and I was actually quite surprised that it was way more delicious than the one I last tried back home. Very friendly and charming girls at the till, that make you feel like home atmosphere. The coffee tastes very delicious too and can highly recommend anyone to try the variety of all the delicious treats they have. Thank you, will definitely visit again. “This is my goto barber shop and has been for over 5 years now. I won’t go anywhere else. The guys are super friendly and there is always a nice welcoming atmosphere in the shop. The cuts are of course really sharp too. Tony the owner is a proper lovely chap and all the boys who work in there are top gents. There is also a great tanning shop next door which is handy if you like to top up your tan after a trim. I can highly recommend this place and will defo recommend to others.”

“An Italian style coffee shop. Excellent coffee which is smooth and strong. The cakes are really great and home made. Very reasonable price as well. The lunch options are paninis, sandwiches and salad bowls, plus baked potatoes and priced between £3.50 and £8.50. Cakes £2.90 Coffees around £2-3 with Americano £2.40 and cappuccino £2.70. This is a friendly cafe with outdoor seating and ideal for coffee and cake whilst out shopping or light lunches with friends. A really lovely addition to this fast improving High Street.”

“me and my two friends ordered the egg, bacon, beans and chips at 7am after we had finished work. Can’t forget the slices of toast on the side. The woman serving us was a generous host, and the quiet atmosphere was a relief after just working a shift in hospitality! also we live right next door to it and it surprises me how i haven’t gone there more often”

“Nice cafe first time using it and food was decent price , toilets availible aswel. Food was very nice , cafe was clean no greasy smell as you walk in , it was nice and fresh , the only reason its not 5star is because the tea wasnt that good i think maybe cheap tea bags , better tea would be better it was very weak like dish water unfortently. But very nice food and very nice cafe and decent prices. Free wifi if u need it and also free parking outside for 1 hour.”

“This place surely isn't the biggest or most privately contained cafe in a hospital, but that really is the beauty of it. Run by volunteers, these people were wonderful to talk to, and not only to see them with the choice to dedicate this time, but simply considering how long some have lived for (e.g. age 92), and how good their health is. Onto the actual cafe! The price of food here from sandwiches to cafe drinks is the type of reasonable I am expecting and am so happy to see, when comparing to such, including the Costa in the hospital. In my opinion that includes the range of cakes, biscuits and bars too! Having my [veg] sandwhich toasted made it extra fulfilling, and the cappuccino was super! And it gets better: All profits made, go to a certain division of the hospital. More people should visit this cafe to appreciate the efforts devoted by volunteers here. Hospitals should have more affordable, lovingly run cafe's like this! Obviously that doesn't even have to be as a patient!”

“I got as far as the door before finding dogs weren't allowed. It appeared to be the first time someone has asked - as the staff stared silently at each other before telepathically deducing that the answer was no. Anyway, my wing man ordered the coffees which were of good quality and supplied in a timely fashion. Sadly, I was only able to get a picture of the inside through the closed door, but it looked nice, cosy and clean inside. Outside seating has been created in an imaginative and optimistic way...which makes it difficult to get a picture of the place without including an industrial bin!”
