“This place is under new management and is truly changed for the better, the new rotund boss has made some brilliant changes. Tom who resembles the jolly round butcher we all grew up with, has rebranded as a ‘Tea and sausage sandwich emporium’. You can come and enjoy your pot of lapsang suchong and bacon sarnie until late afternoon. The colourful range of local clientele also makes each visit similar to a visit to the zoo! Well worth a visit! Honestly the only coffee shop in town that is worth frequenting!”

“The place has a very large selection of breakfasts. We ordered an English breakfast and an Explosion Waffle, which were very tasty. The cappuccino was nice and very large. The atmosphere is a little intimidating because of the small space, which accommodates dozens of people. We were in a hurry to get up after breakfast, as it was not cozy. Great service, great result, and I had time to appreciate how attentive the stylists are to all of their clients, adults and children alike. Highly recommend. I used to get my hair done here when I was in my teens and went back for the first time as a 20-something yesterday. I took a gamble and rang up on the off chance they could see me straight away. Getting your hair cut by someone new is always a bit of a tense thing but I am delighted with the result. I got a very blunt, quirky short crop and I absolutely love it. The service was quick, my stylist was lovely, and she was more than happy to listen to me gab on. I cannot recommend it more and will be telling everyone in the area to go here. Thank you, Silcress!”
