“Don't let the negative reviews put you off booking. We really enjoyed our stay in one of the 'Premier Plus' rooms, it was lovely and clean, the bed was comfy and all the staff were really nice and helpful. We ordered breakfast, which is served in the pub (The Winning Post), which is on the side of the building. It was amazing; there was plenty of choice (even as a vegetarian), and the cooked breakfast was made to order. Again, all the Staff were sociable and friendly. We will definitely be back.”

Edgar came to install and didn't leave until the job was done even though it was late at night. His attention to detail was great and the quality of the wardrobe is clear. “Exceptional budget stay for an overnight work trip. Seamless check in, and I was upgraded to a double room free of charge, which was really appreciated. The room and bathroom was very clean, as well as comfortable, with all the amenities you would need. I didn't find the surrounding area noisy, rather on par with the usual noise of London. “I recently attended a whiskey tasting and had such a great experience! I’ve never been much of a whiskey drinker, but the selection we tried completely changed my mind. The flavors were rich and smooth, and I learned a lot about the different types and how they’re made. I’ll definitely be getting more into whiskey after this — highly recommend this tasting to anyone curious or new to it!”

“Excellent experience. They took great care of our one year old British longhair kitten who had a range of treatments - nail clip, wash and groom, deep shed removal, a mat removal and sanitary trim. Very professional and supportive throughout the whole process. Our kitten was calm and well looked after during her time here. “As an avid fan of Japanese cuisine I had a great dinner at Umi. The menu consists of a wide variety of different Japanese dishes which accommodates for all kinds of meal preferences. All the dishes we ordered were very fresh and were prepared with great detail. All dishes worked to create an authentic experience. In particular, the pork cutlet in the curry don was cooked to perfection with a crispy breaded surface and a tender centre. The sashimi had a umami flavour which is always a pleasant surprise in good quality sashimi. The establishment has a comfortable atmosphere and the high quality service provided by the staff of Umi ensured that we had a great time. I would highly recommend Umi as a go-to for authentic Japanese food.”

“What a pleasant experience. We were greeted at the door and seated by the friendly "Ben" who anticipated our needs throughout the evening. Ben brought us some complimentary warm focaccia and olives to nibble on while we made our menu choices. The menu has a good balance of dishes and I quickly decided on my choices along with a bottle of Ramaro for the table; I have a soft spot for Sicilian red wine. All dishes were well plated and tasted as good as they looked. The portions were also very generous, perhaps "Mama" was in the kitchen dishing the plates. After the meal, there was little room left for dessert, so I shared a panna cotta with my wife; I have to say that it was the best I've ever tasted. My only regret is that I didn't choose one of the seafood dishes, they looked realy appetizing. My relationship with crustacions has always been one where no matter what precautions I take while shelling them, a jet of oil always squirts out and slashes me on my shirt. Perhaps next visit I'll wear on old shirt or a bib; perhaps both.”

“I had the Linguine Granchio at Bella Vita last night and it was absolutely fantastic — perfectly cooked pasta with tender, flavorful crab in a light, aromatic sauce that tasted incredibly fresh. For dessert, the Tiramisu was heavenly — creamy, rich, and just the right balance of coffee and sweetness. Every bite was pure Italian delight! The service was friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!”
