“After an amazing trip to Japan, where I fell in love with the food, I found Atariya Foods Kingston in Kingston, London—a true Japanese gem. Their fresh tuna and salmon are perfect for making my own sushi, and the skilled chefs create authentic dishes. We’re lucky to have it! Please open a branch near Sutton Station, Sutton High Street, Sutton, London. I bought KOSHIHIKARI sushi rice, sashimi set, Mizkan vinegar, and Kaitatuya seaweed to make my own sushi, plus S&B Torokeru Curry Sauce for katsu curry. I enjoyed the Tuna Blast Sushi, Yakitori, Edamame, sweet Daifuku, Goma Wakame Salad, and fresh Tuna and Salmon Lover Sushi. The Spicy Salmon Onigiri was delicious—please add a spicy salmon roe version like in Japan!”
“We had an incredible experience at this small family-run Lebanese restaurant! The owners were exceptionally friendly, guiding us through the menu and suggesting delightful dishes. The variety of both meat and vegetarian options allowed us to savor an array of flavors. The cozy atmosphere and fresh, delicious food make it a must-try spot. A gem in the culinary scene!”
“Working away and always go to different Indian restaurants around the country. Hands down the best keema naan I've had in any I've been in. Kashmiri kebab starter very good aswell. If in the area again will always come back. Thankyou”
“I went to Giggling Squid – Kingston upon Thames for my birthday. It wasn’t busy as it was a weekday, and I absolutely loved it! The staff were so polite, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was calm with beautiful décor — lovely colours, chandeliers, and paintings. Everything was very clean and stylish, including the toilets. The seafood dishes were delicious, and although I had the lamb shank which wasn’t my favourite, it was still tasty. Perfect place for nice birthday photos and a great dining experience!”
“Arrived unannounced with 7 people and a dog, and they catered with no questions. GM came over to meet the pooch. Maria was super attentive and our fresh, oven-baked pizzas were out in 7 minutes. A brilliant overall experience for a saturday lunch! Will be back.”
“Did the unlimited tapas, and paid the extra £5 for the full range of items. Our server was excellent, I cannot remember his name but he was very friendly! We were also in the time range for happy hour, so we got two 2-for-1 cocktails each alongside our meal. We then had about 4 rounds of food, which saved us about £100ish in total. My stand out dishes were the cheese breads with the garlic, the hot honey halloumi, the popcorn squid, the black bean quesadillas, and also the chicken wings were excellent!”
“Very nice Thai food in a slightly quieter street in Kingston. We were the first people in on a Saturday evening, so the service was very prompt and friendly. We ordered Pad Thai, Grilled Chicken and plain Jasmine Rice — along with a Tiger Lager and some Jasmine Tea. Pad Thai was very nice, with not much spice, and they did give you the option to add heat with chilli flakes which were on the side of the plate. The grilled chicken had lovely flavour with nice crispy bits of skin, but the salad was fairly spicy. Definitely recommend if you're into Thai or other Asian cuisines.”
“I recently had a wonderful takeout experience from Chicken World. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection with a crispy coating and tender meat. The wings were equally delicious, with well-balanced flavors. Every bite was a delightful combination of savory goodness. The owner’s personal touch and friendly service made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Chicken World for their mouthwatering chicken meal that will keep you coming back for more!”
“Our daughter had a lovely experience at Katey’s House whilst we lived in Kingston. We felt that the staff cared deeply about our daughter there. Karolina’s warmth, responsiveness and professionalism was so palpable. We look forward to watch from afar to see what she continues to build.”
“A Lovely Spot by the Thames – Kingston Riverside Kingston Riverside is one of my favourite places to unwind in Southwest London. Right by the River Thames, it’s got that perfect balance of lively atmosphere and scenic charm. Whether you’re popping down for a casual stroll, grabbing a coffee, or enjoying a meal by the water, there’s always something quite special about the vibe here. The selection of restaurants and pubs along the riverside is solid — from cosy spots for a pint to more upscale dining. On a sunny day, the outdoor seating areas are buzzing, and the view of the river with the boats gently passing by is just brilliant. It’s also great for walks or bike rides, especially with the Thames Path running through. And with the town centre just a short walk away, it’s incredibly convenient. All in all, Kingston Riverside is a gem — perfect for a relaxed day out or just soaking up some riverside atmosphere.”
“I was looked after by Paige she was very friendly, making me and my partner feel very comfortable. The food was also amazing I will be coming back.”
“Almost every time I’ve been there, I have been given something for free. The other day I bought two bao buns and they gave me an extra two for free, this has happened more than once. Today I received a free packet of Ramen. There are so many more examples of this that I can’t put it into this review 20/10 recommend this place. Has a massive variety and at a reasonable price. Awesome staff and good service!”
“We visited here on a Saturday around 3pm for a celebration dinner. We booked in advance for inside seating. There is outside seating which is perfect on a sunny date as right next to the river. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with their recommendations for food and drinks. We all opted for three courses, they do have weekend set Menus which is worth a look. All the meals arrived in perfect timing, they gave enough time between each meal so it wasn’t rushed. Everything was cooked beautifully and a really enjoyable meal. We will definitely be visiting again!”
“Lovely pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and always ready to help, offering great recommendations for drinks. The food is delicious, with generous portions and plenty of flavour. There’s a wide variety of beers and other liquors to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. A great spot for a relaxed and enjoyable time!,”
“Super friendly staff and great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the drinks. Didn't try the food though but lots of dif areas and spacs to drink”
“Big fan of this place. Always friendly and they make great bubble tea. They also recently renovated and have a great and wide selection of food, drinks, crockery etc. definitely worth a visit.”
“The food was brilliant with lots of vegetarian choices! The waiters Joseph, Othniel and a Turkish girl, provided excellent advice, marvellous service and good conversation. Bravo. Made the whole experience very special.”
“What an incredible find five minutes walk from the town centre. Very tastefully decorated in a minimalistic fashion. Everything looked freshly refurbished. The bedroom and en suite bathroom looked as though they had been recently decorated and were very nicely done. No expense had been spared. My only complaints were that the upstairs hallway was unbearably hot and nobody attended to the room whilst we were out. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful stay here. The available food was unusual and not as described on their website so be aware but it was still tasty and served its purpose of filling us up before we went out. There is onsite parking which consisted of two spaces and a disabled bay so they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. I believe that there is public parking nearby but cannot confirm.”
“This should be the best Cantonese food in Kingston, and there's no service charge. The Yolois awful and inauthentic; it's ridiculous that it has a 4.9 rating—it must be fake.”
“Nice and clean grocery store with a great selection of world foods. The bakery section is amazing — fresh bread and lots of variety. Always a good shopping experience!”
“This place changed hands recently (late 2023), so the previous photos and reviews are no longer relevant. It is still a Korean restaurant, now called Yami. It now has Korean BBQ, Sushi, Korean fried Chicken, Bibimbap etc. It does lack some dishes the old place had (no Gimbap or udon soups) but is still good food and inexpensive. £20 for half a fried chicken and Bibimbap.”
“Granth has been amazing!! Yesterday I went on dinner date and it was soo good. I love the atmosphere, food was absolutely amazing and delicious. N served by Granth who is an amazing person and great at his work. Full of recommendations!! Would love to come back again. Thanks for the great evening.”
“Great food, great service. Recommend all locals to try”
“Came in for lunch, which was really good and great price. Then found there was a shufl board and had fun playing. Half an hour for £8. Joey was really helpful and friendly. And was really good with all his customers.”
“Very ‘authentic’ HK style dimsum - love it here! A little bit pricey, but hey it is Kingston after all! Lucky to have this spot as a local restaurant. They have changed owner / name of the restaurant recently- FYI. Fav dishes so far - the siu mai, har gau, pork buns, custard cream buns and the pork pastry. Decent beef hor fun.”
“Team were unable to process my free reward order but went out of way to make it a good experience. Senior management need to support and get their click and collect working! I am staking up rewards here and you are missing out on custom.”
“Bestest shop i ever visited in the area”
“Wow!!! This is a fantastic and convenient spot to get sushi whenever you want it. This is because this sushi gourmet place has a large range of options and choice. The choices vary from the simplicity of a Nigiri to salads and big rolls. It has options of small and £10 boxes of nigiri and other sushi rolls and bigger portions of £20 that are more complicated rolls. It has deliveroo as takeaway and delivery service. However, it’s in Sainsbury’s in the centre right at the back of the store. This doesn’t mean that it has a bigger difference on this gourmet style and other Japanese restaurant. It only contains sushi and not brothers or other Japanese dishes as it’s only a Sushi Gourmet. When I go there I always get the nigiri rolls because they’re fresh and simple and also delicious. I’ve also been to other Japanese authentic restaurants and it’s different regarding the taste of the sushi because it’s not a chain but a single restaurant. However it’s not that big of a difference regarding freshness.”
“We are sushi lovers and always looking for a great sushi places. This place is very local for us, so we decided to give it a try. As we understood place opened recently, food quality is amazing, lots of ingredient and everything is super fresh! As started we took aubergine (on the photo), just delicious and then we went for rolls only, 4 in total and I cannot tell which one was better, all amazing. Guys, please don’t get worse with the time. Please keep the same food quality. Can’t recommend this place enough and looking forward to come back.. tomorrow ;)”
