“I have been to this pub a few times.since the new manager took over (i think he has been managing for around 8 months now). They are a very friendly community based team. Today for example a lady in a wheel chair was outside and asked me.to let.thr staff kmow she needed help. Thr manager immediately let.me tell him even though he was really busy. Came out straight away and mads the lady feel special and supported. He even tried to find a comfy seat available for her and one that was not high. When I have been here before the manager was again very chatty and explained he wamts customers.tk feel special and valued. He certainly has achieved this. The ither staff also are friendly and always approachable. You will be served here quickly as they make customers a priority.the food is amazing too.”

“This was an old and famous pub which is now renovated to a very stylish and modern style bar, restaurant and Sheesha lounge. Surprisingly a very spacious and beautiful place with ample sitting are, outdoor heated pergolas, tables and open Sheesha lounge. Lebanese style food is the highlight and overall options and quality of the food is second to none.. Kebabs are freshly made and have very authentic yet unique taste! Service was little slow but I will still give it to the fact that they have to fetch the drinks from outside bar and food was made fresh and served! All in all, a very cosy and modern place for hangout and parties..”

“I came into the pub for a drink because I was so exhausted from work and as soon as I got called in I was greeted with such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were so kind and welcoming, helping me with my multiple queries with optimism. I would like to specifically mention Faye (I hope that is how it is spelt) and Matthew. They went above and beyond to direct me to a drink I would enjoy and were so attentive. They pointed out the cherry margarita and my wife absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back again. Thank you to the North Star for this experience”

“We popped in for a very quick late lunch. Staff helpful, and we had starters from the menu as a snack, soup, haloumi fries. Good food, flavour-tasty. Good range of non-alcoholic drinks. In a hurry so a quick visit, but would come again.”

“Hands down the best Chinese around. We have been here several time and have ordered many takeaways. Always friendly and welcoming, food is fresh, hot and always tasty. Crispy duck one of our favourites, pan fried noodles are always ordered. Chilli beef one of my go to dishes, prawns with ginger are delicious, all of the starters are equally delicious. I fairly certain we have tried at least one of each menu item over the years.”

“Just stayed here for the 3rd time and still doesn’t disappoint! The staff are amazing. Very helpful and accommodating. Shout to David (sp?) at the front desk for looking after me during my stay. The rooms are modern and are well kept. Great sleeping conditions too. For Elites, the breakfast is next level and nothing runs out. Location is more Kilburn than Maida Vale, so just be prepared. Tons of shops and quick restaurants around. Only gripe is that there’s not a dedicated elite lounge. They make up for this by having complimentary drinks and appetizers at happy hour. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Stayed for two nights a week ago and found 99.9% of everything to our liking. (0.1% taken off owing to the miniscule sheet size of the toilet paper!!) Central position with a Macs and M&S next door!! Adjacent carpark (separate company) clean and plenty of spaces, plus, owing to the hotel's current building work, the barrier was not in use so we just drove in and parked up, having pre-paid. Would stay again (and bring my own toilet roll!!)”

On the occasion when I’ve popped in, the staff will always been friendly. I believe it’s the best Indian restaurant in Wantsted.”

“I cannot recommend North London Furniture highly enough. The owners, Mark and Laura, are extremely kind, personable, professional and knowledgeable. Their many years of experience really shine through: they offered unbiased advice, explained various options and gave me their professional opinion, which turned out to be absolutely correct. I have long-standing back problems, but after several months of sleepless nights and wrong mattress purchases I finally received the best advice and found the right mattress. The delivery was punctual and to the actual bedroom, despite it being upstairs. The mattress recommended by Mark and Laura was life-changing for me, and within a couple of nights I was practically pain-free. Moreover, prices are extremely affordable for what are clearly very good quality items. I will definitely be recommending this shop to friends and family, and plan to go back for other items of furniture soon. Thank you so much!”

The service was excellent, and a big shoutout to Michael, our server, who was amazing with our two older girls and really made us feel welcome. “Rooms were great. No one on Reception a couple of times when we needed help, key card wouldn't let one of us access our room. Quickly resolved when receptionist appeared. Beefeater next door - we had poor service one evening, very slow service by a sullen, unfriendly even rude waitress. Everyone else was friendly, we were just unlucky. We had a show to get to, we did it by skin of our teeth despite having 1 hour 20 minutes to eat. Had to fetch our own menus at one point to try and hurry things up a bit. Food was good just let down by our waitress.”

“Cosmo our highly active spaniel loves Nicole and his walks with her. We know he’s had a good time, because he happily snores away in his basket post a walk. We totally trust him to her, mostly because she spends a good amount of time hosing him down after every single walk due to his love of mud. She doesn’t drop and go, she collects and cares!
