The staff took orders quickly and the food came out quickly. establishment: nice place - quite a few tables - can have private group function partitioned off. They are available for weddings/functions. food: amazing! The lentil soup to start was delicious. Large portions. The beef was deliciously flavourful. The salad has a nice homemade dressing. The rice has great spice/flavour and the raisins are a nice touch. So glad we found it and tried it!”

“in 2024 I went to vietnam on my travels , unfortunately, due to no one’s fault but my own, I had a seizure. Whilst this was a temporary downer on my trip, i recovered, and the rest of my time in Vietnam was amazing. One of my favourite countries. Ever since then I have been searching for a Bahn Mi in england. It was one of the highlights of Vietnam. Often starting and ending my day with one. It was such an amazingly simple , delicious meal. Today at Nom Nom I found one. As soon as the crusty baguette touched my lips, i felt as if i was about to have another seizure. I close my eyes and I was transported back to the streets of Hanoi. I could hear the bikes , smell the spices. I was back in Vietnam. However, this time when I opened my eyes, I was in Hoxton, not Hanoi. In front of me was the most beautiful Bahn Mi i’d ever seen in my life. Amazing food and great prices. will come again.”

“It’s a lovely place and very easy to locate. The cod fish was yummy, very big and the chips was massive. It’s a crispy fish and chips. The guy that served us is a very friendly person and give’s good customer service. It’s a clean and decent place. Their spicy wings and chicken side breasts are amazing. “I’ve been coming here for near 40 years! The place recently celebrated their 46th birthday and suddenly made me feel old! An absolute institution. I was lucky to visit way back when it was just 1-2 small rooms and my parents treated to us to this incredible restaurant when we were younger and have continued to visit since! They had been coming since just after it opened and it was once fo the best Thai restaurants you could find! After years of uni and now living over seas it’s on the list every time I come home. Made even more special by some of the staff remembering me including the boss! A true sign of a spectacular restaurant where hospitality is at the heart of its success. Here is to another 40 years I hope!”

“Marco greeted us warmly. Paparazzi is a lovely and small restaurant with delicious food. We had glasses of wine and bruschetta to start. The tomatoes were so abundant and flavourful. My boyfriend had calamari and baccalà whilst I had a make your own pizza that overflowed the plate. The baccalà was creamy and crunchy. I didn’t try to the calamari but it looked excellent. The pizza was so big and so good. The cheese base was thin and crusty. The toppings were plentiful and the whole pizza was juicy. The absolute BEST part of the meal was the panna cotta. It was so delicious with the addition of pistachios. You MUST get this dessert.”

“Masa Restaurant is truly a hidden gem! From the warm welcome to the incredible food, everything was top-notch. The mixed grill was packed with flavor—perfectly grilled, juicy, and tender. The jumbo prawns were an absolute standout—so fresh and full of smoky, charred goodness! Every dish I tried was amazing, from the chapli kabab to the lamb shoulder and mantu. And let’s not forget the Afghani falooda and sheeryak—the perfect sweet ending to the meal! The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming, making the experience even better. It’s no surprise this place has been around for 17 years and is award-winning! If you’re looking for authentic Afghani food in London, you HAVE to try Masa. Highly recommend!”

“Ranya Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a warm, inviting atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The service is attentive, respectful, and genuinely caring without ever feeling rushed. The food is absolutely delicious, and my favorite dish was the Pacha Tashreeb. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, with amazing depth of taste. The bread soaked up the broth beautifully, making every bite comforting and satisfying. You can really tell it’s made with care and authentic tradition. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and ideal for families or casual dining. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend Ranya Restaurant, especially if you want to try an outstanding Pacha Tashreeb. “Had a 3 course set meal as part of our visit to see Starlight Express. Prices for London were more than reasonable given the portion sizes and quality of our food The food was very tasty / full of flavour, lovely and hot and more than adequate portion sizes to sustain us for the rest of the day. Service charge was added to the bill, but didn't object as the staff were very attentive, pleasant and looked after us throughout the meal. Didn't know what to expect as it was offered as part of our ticket purchase for Starlight Express, but very happy we accepted the offer. Other menu options available if the 2 or 3 course set menu doesn't rock your boat”

“It was a really good friendly service. I ordered the salt and pepper squid, and sweet short ribs as a starter, very delicious. For the main, I had a honey grilled chicken with rice that was really juicy and crispy. I would recommend trying the traditional lemonade and ask about the story behind the drink, it's really cool.”

“My wife and I dined here in August 2025 and were served by the very witty and extremely professional Gawl.The food was very tasty, the experience is truly unique and like nothing we have done before. When you read its pitch black, it really is. Like you can hold your own hand an inch in front of your face and you still will not see it. This did not put us off in any way, but please do bear it in mind before booking. If it's not for you, that's ok, just know what you are signing up to. Before you enter the room they do take for safekeeping anything that can be reflective (like a wristwatch), but not things like diamond earrings and/or rings (so image how dark it really is if they are not worried about the diamond absorbing and reflecting the light back)! Also, if you need to, you can leave the dark dining space and visit the restroom during the dining experience, but we didn't as that would have "broke up" the atmosphere of truly dining in the dark. All in all, I highly recommend this to anyone who does not have issues with "the dark". I would not repeat the experience as it really is the element of surprise which made it so fascinating for us (like how will you "see" what you are eating - spoiler alert - you dont, and sometimes have to resort to helping yourself with your hands to ensure food is on the cutlery, which sounds counterintuitive, I know!), but I am very happy we did it once. Also, we were told that the menu changes every six months or so, so you can visit twice a year to surprise your taste palette, if you would like. In summary, I would definitely recommend at least one visit in your life and hopefully you get Gawl who made the whole two plus hours fly by! P.S. 1 I have not taken any photos so not to spoil your experiences. P.S.2. Kudos to the restaurant owners for employing blind and visually impiared people. On a very serious note, this restaurant experiences is really exceptionally informative of what it is like for blind and visually impaired people. Of course, the fact that the customer gets to return to their everyday life, whilst those who are blind or visually impaired do not leave this "darkness" is not lost on anyone who gives it a bit of a thought. Really makes you appreciate the "givens" in life!”

“I first became of the Sea Breeze food at the Leyton Carnaval on 13th July. I was absolutely amazed with taste and flavour of the meal I had. On Friday 25th July I visited their establishment in Walthamstow with my brother. I We ordered oxtail, rice and peas with steamed cabbage. My brother got carried away, he ordered oxtail 3 boiled dumplings and steamed cabbage, his next choice was, Ackee.and saltfish 3 boiled dumplings plus one fried dumpling and a bottle of their homemade sorrel and ginger drink, he later told me the taste of the ginger was just right, while the fall-off the bone oxtail was delicious, and that he really enjoyed the Ackee and saltfish. I can attest that this establishment serve really tasty and delicious food, very flavourful. The Sea Breeze will definitely be my favourite place to eat even though I’ll be travelling from CannHall Road, E113NH. Thank you for such for the delicious food with perfect portions.”

“A really incredible food experience made better by the kindest and most enthusiastic team of chefs and staff. Every course was delicious, balanced, and well conceived. Each course also had such a different take on a new element than the last, constantly impressing. We loved hearing how each dish was contrived and redesigned from earlier iterations and seasons. At the end of our night, the staff were kind enough to spend extra time answering our questions about their ferments, reuses, and zero-waste methods. It was a really special experience! My parents, who are not typically a fan of vegetarian heavy dinners, absolutely loved it! A great spot for anyone interested in local, foraged, fermented, or thoughtful ingredients and dining.”

“We such a lovely time at Maggie’s Café this Sunday afternoon. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive — approachable for a bit of good banter too, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. We were especially well looked after by Rosi, who was an absolute star and made sure everything ran smoothly without ever feeling rushed. The food was great and the place had a really homely vibe — organised and efficient, yet calm and comfortable. They even happily accommodated a little wiggle of salsa, which just added to the joy of the afternoon. A genuinely warm, feel-good spot that makes you want to come back again.
